Thank you very much for taking the time to make these Sonex B videos. You are coming along very nicely on your plane. Building a plane is a wonderful way to pass the time. I too am building a Sonex. Thankfully I stumbled across your videos a few weeks ago. Seeing your videos has helped give clarity to the 2 dimensional drawings in the plans. I am using a different engine but I have gained a great deal of information from your previous videos. Thanks again for the great info.

It's good to hear from you Wendy, are you posting any pictures or videos on-line? Which engine are you going to use? 🙂

I don't have any pictures online. Watching RUclips and occasionally commenting on them is the extent of my online presence. I am using the 117 HP Aeromomentum engine. It is a auto conversion based on Suzuki engine. I am getting ready to set my plane on its wheels this weekend. I have watched many other Sonex videos on RUclips including Daniel from Texas but yours is the most comprehensive that I have seen. The Sonex community is great but you are making it so much better. I am sure many builders in the future will have so much more enjoyable building experience being able to look at your videos and say to themselves, ahh, that's how that goes. Thank you so much again!

I knew about the 1/4 npt port. Thought there was also an undrilled threaded port for pressure or temp up top. The press fit hub is one thing and the bolsters at the rear of the case are another to prevent cracking I thought there should be a reinforcement. This is one engine I've never seen or ever even touched - somewhat oddly but I really like it. I bought all of the aerovee media and have watched it quietly since the early Great Plains days. Local shop.
I wonder what the attraction are there. Rock climbing, hiking, biking?

Hi Gavin, thanks so much for creating and posting these videos. I find them very interesting and somehow inspiring. If I can manage the logistics (cost, space, time, wife) one day I would like to build a Rans S21. You are probably aware, but just in case, the volume of your videos, especially the beginning opener are very quiet. If there is an easy way to adjust this, that would help a lot. Anyways, thanks again for posting.
