Ford Fiesta 2018 review

This is the Car Buyers Guide all-new Ford Fiesta 2018 review. This 2017 / 2018 Ford is available now in Ireland. Last week, Daragh Ó Tuama made his way to Vallidolid, Spain, to test drive the new Fiesta. These are his first impressions.
Daragh's test vehicles were the Ford Fiesta 1.5 TDCi (120PS), the 1.0 Ecoboost (140PS). The vehicles tested were Titanium, ST Line and Vignale trim. The big seller in Ireland will be the 1.1 petrol unit (Zetec trim), which unfortunately was not available to test drive at the international launch. However, this car will be at the Irish launch next week, so we should hopefully have another video for that.
Our focus in this Ford Fiesta video is the changes to the exterior and interior of the car. We also enjoy the excellent drive that the car still has to offer. While the new Fiesta may still be able to hold its "fun" badge with pride, we do feel that the race is getting tighter and it's only a matter of time before the Mazda2, the SEAT Ibiza, and others catch up in the fun department. Of course, we're yet to meet the Volkswagen Polo!
The interior changes to the 2017 / 2018 Ford Fiesta are very noticeable, and no longer do we have to look at the dated infotainment system. The new SYNC system touch screen is a lot smarter - as is the driver's instrument binnacle. The car is also available with new ADAS safety features - some of these will involve paying more money.
All-in, the new Fiesta is still a massively fun car. We look forward to the Irish launch next week! Lead in pricing will start at €16,550 (Fiesta Zetec 3-door 1.1 litre petrol 70PS).

Seat Leon is in a different class. You should compare the Fiesta with the new Seat Ibiza😊

That's a tough one! Both are excellent superminis... for a fun dive, the Fiesta is better, but for visual appeal, we reckon the Ibiza might be nicer. You're going to have to test drive them both!
