    No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk around Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door located on the South Coast of England in Dorset. Possibly my favourite place in the whole UK. We start by the waters edge walking around the cove before heading on the path to Durdle Door. We walk all along the beach to a familiar place.
    Fun fact. The land above the cliffs at the end is known as Scratchy Bottom.

    About Dave's Walks
    Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
    I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
    I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

    Thank you, thank you and thank you so much for doing this. I went to Durdle Door with my lovely Mother in Law on Saturday 27th July 2024. We went down to the gate from the toilets with my wheelchair and the walkers told us it will be risky for us to go down with the wheelchair. They were right it was too steep. Both of us were disheartened but safety had to come first. We went to Lulworth Cove and we had a lovely surprise, there were boat trips to Durdle Door. At last we saw Durdle Door from the boat.
    This is the first time I saw your video and I’m happy you did this walk and I couldn’t. I have liked and subscribed. Thank you Dave 🥰❤️😘🙏

    We went camping near here when I was about 6 yrs old - Blue Anchor Bay camp site?? I'm 83 now. My father & his buds on motor bikes used to come here from West Hampstead in London, in the 1920's, so with that history I am particularly thrilled to find this video. Thank you. Now I will watch the rest of it !

      Well after deciding to search for the Blue Anchor camp site - it seems there is none near here- but there is one near Minehead in Somerset, so I think I just have the 2 memories mixed up in my head - so many years ago & so many camping trips, who knows what is fact any more in my braIn !!!

    Very relaxing.
    I had a chuckle at the chap at 21.46 carrying an umbrella on what is obviously going to be a scorching hot cloudless day. Well done sir, always be prepared for the unexpected shower. A true Brit. Reminds me of a chap I knew back in the 1980s who always kept a spare cylinder head in his boot in case of emergencies.
    Ohh, what's this, Dave says it bucketed it down on the way back. Umbrella guy got it right then.

    • @DavesWalks
      @DavesWalks  Год назад

      Umbrella guy certainly did get it right. I now carry an umbrella when I am filming, with no exceptions. There was no rain forecast so I suspect the umbrella was for shade on the beach which is quite common to see, oh how everyone was wishing they had an umbrella on that beach once it started coming down heavy!

    No wonder this place inspired you to make your videos. View after view, and such a calm sea. Always associated white cliffs with Dover. It was an education to see them on the south coast too.
    What a procession of people! Being there in the busy times certainly gives a different atmosphere to the experience. Nice to see you got some peace for a quiet wander at the end of the video. You would need to get your timing right for the walk. Being at the wrong end of the beach with the tide coming in would be a disadvantage. Nice walk. You get an elephant stamp. 🐘
    Here, you can borrow my umbrella. ☔

    • @DavesWalks
      @DavesWalks  Год назад +1

      I believe on that final stretch by the cliffs, even on a very high tide there is never any worry about becoming stranded. I think only with a particularly nasty storm/hurricane would there be a potential for danger. Ah that umbrella would've certainly been useful on that particular morning😅
