One of the all-time greats. Guy could run over a sumo wrestler. Just a fucking wall in front of the QB. Aikman could eat an ice cream cone behind him before throwing the ball.
Wish we had madden back, yea we all poke fun but that’s only because we love him, I take madden over any commentator we’ve had in the last 20 years. I didn’t like Harry Caray, but it would’ve been entertaining to have Madden and Caray commentate a game together
@@michaele.francisWhat if Emmitt had the o-line he had in Dallas during his high school and college years, then maybe he would've been as phenomenal in those years as he was in the NFL? Oh wait, Emmitt haters ALWAYS forget to even THINK about this, before they foolishly state that he was merely a product of the offensive line that he had in Dallas.
From Week 1 until Ray Donaldson broke his ankle on Thanksgiving, the 1995 Dallas Cowboys fielded the greatest offensive line in NFL history. That O-Line combined for an NFL record 29 Pro Bowl appearances and was a key ingredient in the Cowboys compiling a 10-2 record before Donaldson was lost for the season. Despite the stark drop-off from Donaldson to Kennard, the Cowboys still managed to win Super Bowl 30.
No the greatest O Lineman ever is Anthony Munoz but others we discuss Larry Allen, Erik Williams, Dan Deardorf, Bruce Matthews, Russ Grim all those guys were great but Munoz was better then all of them.
I don’t I loved him as a player I’ve met him a couple times at Cowboys radio shows not impressed at all cause he’s 2 people the guy laughing on the radio & the moment he’s off air he’s someone else declines everyone who asked for autographs I lucked out & got him at Walmart signing he did where they paid him. He was a total ass he said “I’ll sign 2 things” ok whatever I just had the one then he said “I’ll take a picture if I like your face if I don’t move on.” What a jerk
@@dannyfrog I heard that from a friend of mine as well never met Bo. I know this only athlete that I’ve had bad times with some good but bad too is Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez saw him a couple times in person once he ruined a ball but many fans saw him that day & got rough treatment. Met Nate a couple times he’s 2 people the man laughing & outgoing on talk radio but when he’s off the air not impressed I’ve seen many ask for autographs & he denies them all. He says he caught someone on eBay trying to sell after he signed for them. Nate thats weak not everyone who asked for a autograph is a seller.
Don't mind me...just reliving my childhood and remembering the parts of football and why I loved it so much. Officiating, woke analysts, and politics stole my favorite sport. I miss the America I knew. Peace to all reading this.
Hearing Madden praise Newton so much brings me joy and nostalgia. RIP
RIP John Madden. Hearing him call games is what made me pay attention to offensive line play and the nuances of how offensive line play affects things

John Madden had to be the greatest Nate Newton fan of all-time.
He loved to pick on Nate during Thanksgiving day game lol
@@ricefitzgerald1763 Nate was a big guy just like John Madden himself and that is what drew him to Nate.
And Brett Farve
@@Sclass_Ent That is true
Damn, this takes me back to my childhood of watching Cowboy games.
RIP JOHN MADDEN!!!
There will never be another Nate, just like there will never be another Madden.

Especially today. RIP to the legend
When my dad was drunk fighting my mom madden was teaching me football. At the ages of 7 to now
Damn that Cowboy offensive line was was brutal. They opend up frkin highways for Emmit
Yeah they were literally out there hurting d-lineman
Can you imagine if Barry Sanders ran behind a line like that?

Johns two favorite O-linemen were Nate Newton and the Redskins big ol Joe Jacoby.
Madden was a once in a lifetime type of person.
RIP John Madden
RIP JOHN THE BEST TO DO IT
One of the greatest ever!!!
May John Madden REST IN PEACE ❤️🙏🏾✝️
Reminiscing about John Madden, so I googled “big old Nate Newton”… this is great.
🤠
He came to my summer camp
That Cowboys offensive line may be the greatest in history other than maybe the Raiders of the 70's with Art Shell and Gene Upshaw
Didnt they protect kenny the snake stabler and alittle bit for plunkett
I miss this....
Real ball players
nate was a great player in the Cowboys system.
Imagine Barry Sanders having this guy for 16 games as opposed to just the Pro Bowl 6 times
And Larry Allen. Woulda doubled Eric dickersons single season record
and a Superbowl ring
R.I.P. John Madden.
John Madden love him some John Elway too. I remember when he said John Elway was a one man gang with the Broncos in the 80s.
If Madden said he weighed 330, Nate Newton was pushing 370.
that's my uncle
Who cares if you are overweight--if John Madden takes an interest in you, then you are GREAT!
Nate was the best
Best guard we ever had! Luv ya nate miss ya man COWBOYS FOR LIFE TIL DEATH DO US PART!!
Larry Allen
I remember larry allen one of our best linemen ever as well
How are you tone 22 COWBOYS FOR LIFE since franchise began can go back as far as Dandy Don meridith then staubach took over
Nate Newton is the greatest offensive lineman of all time.
No.. Not even the greatest Cowboy lineman. Larry Allen was better, so was Erik Williams in his prime. But he was pretty good.
@@s.tavares3257 Stepnoski was also a better player. But Nate Newton was a perennial pro bowler, and he did all of this in his 30s.

I Grew up with him , He was that big and strong never lifted any weights when we where younger .
JONES HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 79 ORLANDO FLORIDA
He even put him in the book All-Madden hey I'm talking pro football!... He described him as the All-Madden Sandwich
He lost alot of weight now
Nate Newton the best 400 lbs football player
My folks lived down the street from the newton's
RIP John
Ther will never be and other John Madden and there will never be another Jon Gruden.
I need nate Newton on my madden theme team.
