@@sweeteyes7 For some reason, I hate ending up in 4th more than 5th-8th, might be a holdover from Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 where if you finish 5th-8th you lose a life but get to retry the track, but 4th continues you on (you do get a cool award ceremony surprise, though, the music turns into dramatic film noir music and your character drives off sad and then suffers Looney Tunes style slapstick as a bombkart chases them).
The irony simplicity of it all... Baby Park is SO pedestrian and easy...yet so difficult due to the amount of weaponry. It's anyone's track no matter who plays it. It's one of my favorite tracks to play when facing friends. :)
Matt Perri baby park is easy, just stay in 8th-10th place until 5/7 laps and when you get the OP items drift ahead alittle bit and when your in 4th just use the OP items. dont wait long or that piece of crap lightning will hit you and take your items
Just played this map again for the first time since probably 2015. I joked about how I never lost at it (cause I didn't and I would lap everyone cause I'm a god at this map) and then I lost at it cause I got hit by a 8 attack long damage string
I laughed through this entire thing. This is easily my favorite MK track. Complete chaos. The versions on MK8 and MKDS are just not the same. It needs the ridiculous super-size items and the roller coaster nearly decapitating you.

Xcalibur64 only thing that sucks about MK8’s is that they added the barrier in the middle so items don’t come bouncing back as easily. It lost 50% of the mayhem :(
I'm glad this track got into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but...it honestly isn't the same. It's never as chaotic as it is in Double Dash. Shells can't go over the patch of grass dividing the track and there's no special items.
The chaos throughout the entire time is what makes it my favorite track of all time. It makes me wish I can do 20 laps with nothing but shells and bananas being thrown everywhere.
You're not far off; I think if you can understand the appeal of Baby Park, you can understand the appeal of NASCAR. Beatin', bangin', absolute chaos - racing as a contact sport.

When I was a kid and played with friends on this track, I would always purposefully shoot my shells across the mid-barrier, to cause the thing to sweep back and forth. Let's just say I made alot of my friends rage and nearly tear their hair out at this xD. That, and with the huge banana peels I would leave all over the place.
I main Bowser Jr and Diddy Kong so every time I got the item box when I was in first or second I just kept tossing them. Giant banana's and bowser shells clashing everywhere.
I never played double dash, nor ever beaten it ever, but if I did have it and beat the game, my favorite combination would be toad and bowser Jr in the toad kart.
I got Mario Karted in 50cc. I was just about to finish when I got red shelled 3x, then green shelled, then slip on 2 banana peel. Final placement: 11th.
nintendo should release a especial items dlc and then there is baby park 200cc hard frantic special items only (i dont know if there is mirror mode in mk8 ) online /friends and it would be perfect
I was evil on this track, I ran bowser and bowser jr with the bowser kart, and purposely threw the giant spiney shells forward ahead of me. Even while I was in first place. Having 3-5 giant spiney shells bouncing all over the place was nothing short but world war 3 in Mario kart. Not my favourite track (that belongs to wario colosseum for me) but def the game use version of baby park was the best version.
Everyone wanted Only to play this stage, so I was forced to learn the art of Leader Shell Dodging! (Because I happened to be always in the front of everyone)
