Have Arsenal really suffered a decline? The season's not even finished yet so it's pretty strange to use half a season to suggest a decline in quality. It would be like using Chelsea's 10th placed finish from a few seasons back to suggest they declined too. Arsenal are having a bad period though in the wake of Wenger's departure. But the implication with a decline is that it's over a long period of time rather than just a short period of bad form. Overall I wouldn't say Arsenal in 2019 are much worse than Arsenal in 2010.

@@imwinningthisone7613 Or another Belgian Champions League participant from I think 2006-2007: Royal Antwerpen. They served as something of a farm team for Manchester United around that time, John O'Shea recovered himself and his career there as far as I remember. You should included Cruzeiro indo this list, champions of brazilian League in 13 and 14, 2 times champions of copa libertadores, champions of brazilian cup in 17 and 18, and was relegated to second division in 19
Let’s clear this up. The only game I have watched my team play was a 0-0 home draw in the League 2 (4th tier) against Luton Town, who are now at the bottom of the championship. *We are now 4 divisions and 72 places apart.* My club York City were a National League (5th tier) club at the start of the decade. However they were promoted to the League 2 (4th tier) in 2011-2012, and just survived relegation the following season. They were on the brink of promotion in the 2013-14 season to the third tier via playoff semi-final against Fleetwood (who are still a League 1 club), but we lost. We then steadily declined and 2 seasons later we finished bottom of League 2 and left the football league (tiers 1-4). In the next season (16-17) we were relegated again (finishing 21st in the National League/5th tier) to the National League North (6th tier), where we have struggled for the past 3 seasons. We go into the decade in 2nd, which does not mean automatic promotion, as 2nd-7th have playoffs for the 2nd promotion spot from the National League North. I have hope however, that the next decade will bring light to York City, and we may return to the football league, and perhaps even greater heights! After all, it is football: anything can happen if you have the belief and hope.
You have my English team in the list (Sunderland) but have missed out my Spanish side, RCD Mallorca. 15 minutes from a Champions League place ten years ago, they dropped all the way to the fourth tier of Spanish football before clawing their way back to La Liga and are now hovering in the relegation zone
Birmingham city, start of decade 2010 - top 8 in premier league 2011 - carling cup winners Since then Relegation Last day relegation battles to stay up x3 9 point deduction Currently 17th
Not as well known as the clubs on the list, but my club Hapoel Tel Aviv suffered an incredible fall from grace this decade. In the 09/10 season we won the league and cup double and finished first in our UEL group beating the likes of Celtic, Hamburg and Rapid Vienna. The following season we qualified for the Champions League for the first time and even managed to beat Benfica 3-0 and drew with Schalke and away to Lyon. However, financial difficulties and a string of questionable owners and managers saw us relegated to the second tier of Israeli football in the 16/17 campaign. At the moment the club is deeply rooted to the bottom half of the Israeli Premier League, however the days of our former success seem long gone by now and our future does not look any brighter.

I think the greatest improvements of the decade a bit like Leicester I think they were league 1 at the start of the decade and winning the league in 2015/16
Should’ve mentioned Malaga as an honorable mention. They had money and talent earlier this decade, in the top 4 and now are a bottom table club in LaLiga2
Where is panathinaikos?in 2000's we got to champions league quarter finals and we were unlucky that we didn't get to the semifinals in the second match against barcelona we got to the quarter finals of europa league and we lost against the winners special one's porto and we got 2 times first in a champions league group first with arsenal invicibles in 2002 and with inter in 2009 and now the last time we went to champions league was 10 years ago
Remember Anzhi MA..bla..bla :)) you should do video about them too, their situation was very close to Dnipro's, started decade with Roberto Carlos, Eto'o, Willian and now I don't even know where are they.
In Brazil there's a club called Portuguesa, which played Brazil's Serie A in 2013. That year they were relegated in the court room because they lost points by using a player who was irregular. So in 2014 they played in the Serie B and were relegated once again. Following year they were relegated yet again from the Serie C to the Serie D. In only 4 years they went from the first division to not playing any national league! And they hit rock bottom now because they were relegated to the Second division of São Paulo's local tournament so they're basically amateur today
Honorable mentions to Juventus, AS Roma, Lazio and Atalanta who have all ceased to exist and have been replaced in the Italian top flight by Piemonte Calcio, Roma FC, Latium and Bergamo Calcio.
England: During the Premier League era, Preston North End or Bristol City. All-time (i.e. were never in Division 1 prior to 1992), maybe Plymouth Argyle?
Unirea Urziceni as an honourable mention, because Dan Pretescu took them to the domestic league title in Romania, competed in the Champions League, only for the owner to take the UCL money and run, leaving them in a mess. They never recovered, had to sell players and got relegated. They did not register for the third tier and liquidated. A businessman and fan reformed them, playing in the lower leagues, but they were soon later liquidated again.
Nothing against Sunderland, but they were a waste of space on the Premier League. They were always fighting relegation and getting saved by their skin of their teeth, their eventual descent was bound to happen soon.
As an American, the decline of LA Galaxy has been steep from having won 3 MLS Cups in 4 years from 2011-2014 to missing the playoffs 2 out of the last 3 seasons including this past season despite having Zlatan and losing supporters in the LA area to LAFC. They even finished bottom of the Western Conference with the second worse record in MLS this past season despite having Javier "Chichrito" Hernandez.
Just shows how mad football can be. Within next ten years, a club in league two could be in the PL, while a club in the PL right now could do the opposite.
Rangers? Top of Scotland until 2011, never relegated, then down to the 4th division, worked their way back up to the top of Scotland before the end of the decade.
Here Deportivo de la Coruña is missing. One time LaLiga winners, twice Cops del Rey winners, three times Spanish SuperCup winners ending at the Top 10 since the 90s and now at the 22nd position out of 22 in the Spanish Second Division. That is one big decline!
@Παναγιώτης Γεωργίου but juve and liverpool were great in the 80s , not to mention liverpool won the treble in 2001 and ucl in 2005 yeah but after that they went pretty shite for most of the years.
No mention of FC Twente anywhere? 2010 Dutch Champions 2011 cup winners and in the EL quarter finals. Relegated in 2018, brought back to life from a seemingly hopeless situation of near banruptcy, just got back into the eredisie this year and struggling.
Portuguesa, São Paulo, Internacional, Juventude, Paraná, Criciúma, Paysandu, Náutico, São Caetano, Paulista, etc. Clubs that were better in the last decade than in this one.
Hannover isnt really a decline. the 4th place at the beginning of the decade was a huge surprise. them getting relegated and promoted from time to time is absolutly normal.
That makes a lot of sense. You'd have to be short sighted to suggest otherwise. Man Utd started the decade in a better position than Arsenal as the best team in the league whereas Arsenal were fairly as average as they are now. And Man Utd end this decade in a worse position than Arsenal too considering they've been on a decline for a longer period (since 2013 when Fergie left, compared to Arsenal's 2018 when Wenger left). And Utd seem less likely to bounce back from slump anytime soon considering their board won't sack Ole, won't spend money and after 4 managers failing it seems like any other coaches don't want to join Man Utd..Arsenal's board on the other hand are also terrible but at least seemed proactive enough to fire Emery and hire Arteta and are more demanding for results. Overall it'd be short sighted to think Man U are in a better position than Arsenal overall. Maybe this season at the moment they are, but on the whole I think Arsenal can be revived with the right manager appointment whereas Man U have a poisonous board/owners who are holding them back and won't move forward - especially while Ole's still at the wheel.
Good video, I think Sunderland, Ac Milan, and SV Hamburg, are the biggest fallers, but there is always a club the size of Sunderland in league 1, which is why it is a decent league, next it will be someone else's turn maybe Birmingham, or Stoke or some such, Dnipro is all as of ancient style politics of division I think, it's not their own fault, So I vote Sv Hamburg the most astonishing fallers,
I support brighton and I know like there entire history. In 10-11 they won league one then from 11-12 all the up to 16-17 they were a championship staple (except for 14-15 when they were in the relegation battle.) In 16-17 they got promoted in to the premier league and since then they have been a relegation battle/mid-table side.
Anderlecht being in 10th place in belguim at the moment not playing European football in 97 years standing 10 th is the lowest in who knows what time and even have a negative goal difference wich never happend before I hope we come back hard in the new decade

Glad we've finally got owners who care about the club, and a manager that can actually lead our players again
Top 7 Club resurgences, examples could be clubs like Inter, Atlético Madrid, Dortmund, Parma and Liverpool
You should included Cruzeiro indo this list, champions of brazilian League in 13 and 14, 2 times champions of copa libertadores, champions of brazilian cup in 17 and 18, and was relegated to second division in 19
Please can someone share this background music ? It is lovely.
HITC: ac milan is closer to relegating to serie B..
Ac Milan 2021/2022: Hold my beer
Portuguesa from Brazil, started the decade in serie a and have no divison now
Let’s clear this up. The only game I have watched my team play was a 0-0 home draw in the League 2 (4th tier) against Luton Town, who are now at the bottom of the championship. *We are now 4 divisions and 72 places apart.*
My club York City were a National League (5th tier) club at the start of the decade.
Palermo deserve a mention as well, maybe even a club like Auxerre, Rapid Bucuresti or Grasshoppers Zürich
Birmingham city, start of decade
2010 - top 8 in premier league
2011 - carling cup winners
Since then
Relegation
Last day relegation battles to stay up x3
9 point deduction
Currently 17th
I know it wasn't that long ago but David Moys last West Ham 11. Where are they now please.
That's a good suggestion
@@notleco7147 I just looked at the 11 from his third from last game, which was a 2-0 win at Liecester, which was the win that kept them in the league. All are still there apart from Adrian (Liverpool) , Cheikou Kouyate (Crystal Palace) , Jao Mario (Lokomotive Moscow) and Marco Arnautovic (Shanghai SIPG)
My List:
1.AC Milan
2. São Paulo FC (Brazil) 😥
3. Man. United
4. Internazionale
5. Schalke 04
6. Arsenal
7. Newcastle
Newcastle? Lol
I think in the start of the decade they(Newcastle) were not a Premier League club...
Do the 7 most improved team this decade!
Leicester
PSG
Manchester City, PSG, Atletico Madrid, Benfica, Juventus, Leipzig, Leicester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid....
@@yousandro1999 Real Madrid really???they have always been the best club in the world.....they don't need to improve bcoz they are already perfect
There might be Anji, which had been given with a lot of money by Suleiman Kerimov, Anji had invited Samuel Eto'o, Willian, Boussoufa unless the project was claimed unsuccessful, it has been playing in the Professional Football League (third tier of the Russian football leagues) since 2019/20 after having relegated from the Russian Premier League (first tier of the Russian football league) for the second time since 2013.
I think the greatest improvements of the decade a bit like Leicester I think they were league 1 at the start of the decade and winning the league in 2015/16
Acmilan : So we have done fu** all in this decade. Sooo let's restart with Ibrahimovic we don't have to worry about the rest of our team .
Should’ve mentioned Malaga as an honorable mention. They had money and talent earlier this decade, in the top 4 and now are a bottom table club in LaLiga2
the title and the thumbnail is a match made in heaven. 🥰😍
I was asking the same dude...
Remember Anzhi MA..bla..bla :)) you should do video about them too, their situation was very close to Dnipro's, started decade with Roberto Carlos, Eto'o, Willian and now I don't even know where are they.
They in the third division of Russian football
@@edwardkelly3280 Tks, such a decline for millionaire club.
Bolton were handed a 12 point deduction at the start of the season for entering admin. The 5 point deduction was suspened.
Just one correction, bari plays in the serie c group c, not serie d
Honorable mentions to Juventus, AS Roma, Lazio and Atalanta who have all ceased to exist and have been replaced in the Italian top flight by Piemonte Calcio, Roma FC, Latium and Bergamo Calcio.
Can you do 7 clubs who have never played top flight football
England:
During the Premier League era, Preston North End or Bristol City.
1) A.C Milan 🏆 2011
11) A.C. Milan "hahahaha" 2019 end of the year
Blame the overrated one time World Cup fk specialist keisuke fraudster honda
10) Napoli
@@menice6736 Napoli is expired
Nesta old. Thiago Silva sold. Pato not perform. Seedorf old. Selling their best player, no substitute. Good plan.
Great Video
Dnipro's decline wasnt big, it was fast
It was both I will say
Just shows how mad football can be. Within next ten years, a club in league two could be in the PL, while a club in the PL right now could do the opposite.
Do 7 best second choice goal keepers
Hearing any club have to retire due to bankruptcy is honestly sad. For some smaller nations, football might be all they have.
Rangers? Top of Scotland until 2011, never relegated, then down to the 4th division, worked their way back up to the top of Scotland before the end of the decade.
Two separate Rangers Clubs mate, see my comment for the facts.
Westhillkerr - not according to UEFA, FIFA or the SFA.
I think you’ve been speaking to a deluded Celtic fan, my friend.
Here Deportivo de la Coruña is missing. One time LaLiga winners, twice Cops del Rey winners, three times Spanish SuperCup winners ending at the Top 10 since the 90s and now at the 22nd position out of 22 in the Spanish Second Division. That is one big decline!
That's football. Sometimes you're top dog, other times you're hydrant.
I likenit
I like it
And more money gonna fix that.
Inter are described as AC Milan’s ‘crosstown rivals’ yet they share the same football stadium...
next video : Teams which got really goof this decade like: BVB, Leiceister or Atalanta
Is goof supposed to be good?
@Παναγιώτης Γεωργίου half of them cuz of money hahaha. thats no wonder
In Brazil: Portuguesa de Desportos
Portuguesa, São Paulo, Internacional, Juventude, Paraná, Criciúma, Paysandu, Náutico, São Caetano, Paulista, etc. Clubs that were better in the last decade than in this one.
@Fidel RMZ o Cruzeiro foi campeão da copa do Brasil um ano antes de ser rebaixado, não dá para falar que ele declinou essa década.
Hannover isnt really a decline. the 4th place at the beginning of the decade was a huge surprise. them getting relegated and promoted from time to time is absolutly normal.
Do a 7 most unfairly dropped this decade
Explain plz
Dropped like from the team ???
Blackpool premier league team 2010-11 relegated during the same season and has been going downhill since then despite the fight put up
Glasgow Rangers ?
Bari should definitely be in the list
Thank you for listening to my comment
You have to do one for the most improved clubs this decade which absolutely has to have leicester and bournemouth on top
And liverpool
You should do 7 clubs who have had a weird decade
What the hell is the definition of weird in your list
이연우 Wolves
Yeah
1.Fc Kaiserlautern 🇩🇪👹💪🏻👹
Great video btw.
So Man United on this list but Arsenal aren't...
makes sense
@@KaizerBeatz-vf9wf Think you are right.
They arent a hid club that's y
They are equal in early 2000s.
Good video, I think Sunderland, Ac Milan, and SV Hamburg, are the biggest fallers, but there is always a club the size of Sunderland in league 1, which is why it is a decent league, next it will be someone else's turn maybe Birmingham, or Stoke or some such, Dnipro is all as of ancient style politics of division I think, it's not their own fault, So I vote Sv Hamburg the most astonishing fallers,
Give us the 7 biggest rises. But should Bournemouth be one of these 7?
Not Bournemouth it has to be Sheffield United or maybe Brighton
How can Bournemouth not be in it.Promoted 3 times since 2010 and 4 since 2009
Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Brighton
@@jimmywadsworth6750 Agreed
I support brighton and I know like there entire history. In 10-11 they won league one then from 11-12 all the up to 16-17 they were a championship staple (except for 14-15 when they were in the relegation battle.) In 16-17 they got promoted in to the premier league and since then they have been a relegation battle/mid-table side.
This is a great video idea.
wait,
where's mustafi, he ALONE is a club
asli KW World Cup winner to Arsenal bench
Anderlecht being in 10th place in belguim at the moment not playing European football in 97 years standing 10 th is the lowest in who knows what time and even have a negative goal difference wich never happend before I hope we come back hard in the new decade
Milan is only 11th right now, talk after the season is finished
When the season finishes it will be in the next decade
