Listen Sis!!! Once again God is being glorified and proving to be a God that is RIGHT ON TIME. So in my last comment I was telling you how I accepted all that Christ has been calling me to. I mentioned how I had been on a social media fast to seek God and deny myself, to be bold in Christ. So here I am 2weeks later ending fast,adding my apps back on my phone. I was hesitant about making post about God because I ALWAYS have this crippling fear that the minute I talk about Christ that someone out there would be judging me and my character as i profess to be changed and a renewed person in God. SO despite that I make my first post on Facebook today and its a long one about my fast, how christ changed me and I being more bold and on fire for God and publicly displaying my faith no matter what anyone thinks. And once I post it I immediately start thinking about my coworkers on the ship thats reading it thinking "she was just getting drunk with me a month ago and now she talking about God." Then I hope on RUclips to your page and see this video. AND ONCE AGAIN YOU PERFECTLY DESCRIBE MY EXACT FEELINGS AT THIS VERY MOMENT. Im just grateful to God for reassuring me through his Word and your videos that he hears my innermost desires and fear about proclaiming a life after christ. I was so amazed to see you say everything I was dealing with. You draw me to christ with your eagerness to read his word and explain it with simplicity and most of all apply it to our lives today. Thank you again for a awesome video. The life of paul is a true example of the transformation Christ has made on our lives and how we are not our past!!!

I have been struggling with this heavily! I know I can run to God after my sin but I feel fake. Like flaw for blatantly sinning and running to God like it never even happened. I feel fake for asking his forgiveness, I feel fake worshipping Him when I stray away. I'm not sure how to combat this feeling
GinaMay hi love, I used to battle with this (and still do sometimes). The Bible says godly sorrow breeds repentance. Repentance is a turning away. What you just confessed to us, confess to God. Tell Him your problem is no longer the blatant sin, but you're inability to stay away from that sin. Tell Him you don't feel genuine when you repent. Ask Him to change your heart so when you repent, you truly never turn to that sin again. Ask Him for help. He wants to help!! I said a prayer for you as well
GinaMay something else that helped was I really did study my habitual sin. I knew my sin inside and out. What made me engage in that sin, the situations that put me in the position to sin, and how my mind changed when I was going to. I read scriptures and changed the thought in my head. Instead of saying "yeah I'm gonna do it anyway" i started saying "I don't want to." I imagined Jesus, flesh and blood, in front of me and I thought of everything Christ did for me. And I couldn't do it anymore. I have love for you and I know God does too. We can do this!

i know the feeling but girl God will supernatually remove those strongholds from your life, sometimes instantly and sometimes it'll take sometime but keep pursuing him and be patient with yourself. Know your triggers, meditate on the word and increase your faith by hearing the word of God.

My past doesn't define me because back then I was living for my flesh....but now that I've been saved and living for Christ, all the stuff I used to love don't phase me anymore. I don't miss it and I give God all the credit.
