Actually, the Prime 616 got there first with the Green Scar Hulk and then later with the Doc Green incarnation who was trained by Iron Fist and learned how to channel the Iron Fist.
Ultimate Hulk reminds me a lot of Solomon David from Kill Six Billion Demons. Even Hulk’s motto “Peace Through Strength” is similar to David’s “Reach Heaven Through Violence”, not to mention how they both fight with similarly named moves as well!
As far as I'm aware, this Hulk is only ever referred to as Banner, never Bruce . So it's my headcanon that this is actually Robert Banner (Bruce's dad) because this feels like his brutality here
In original Sin, it’s not just that Tony messed with the bomb: it was going to end up killing everyone (I think the payload was too high) so he modified it to be less powerful, thus creating the hulk and not outright killing banner
Problem is, again, here is a writer who just decides that the Hulk is now more powerful than Thanos and that somehow he knew the Ultimattes would attempt to break in at that exact moment AND he would have his crew (and tea) all ready for them. Now I have no problem with him killing Iron Lad (despite the fact isn't there some rules regarding killing in Heaven?) but this is the Ultimattes - they don't hold back either and yet except for Janet, no one is able to injure any of Hulk's crew?

We're only six issues in and he's basically the main character of the verse. He's not dead. I remember reading this and it's insane. So they pull up on Banner and as soon as She-Hulk gets sent flying into the sky (with the force of a nuke), I knew they were getting packed up. Thor, arguably the strongest person on the team, didn't get any action in and spent most the time doing nothing. Even Ant Man and Wasp got some good scenes (previous Ultimate universe callback). Thank God Doom stayed at home, or the team would have died. I predict that this will lead to Tony getting is Arc Reactor life support system.
i think they are gonna stick with his death and he will become like jarvis, saving his brain to become a full on artificial intelligence, doing a bait and switch with deaths this early would be a detriment to the universe
Mindless strength is one thing but knowing how to use it is catastrophic. Being iron fist isn't just about having it, it's also being a martial arts expert 10 times over. If he wanted to he could take over the whole world with little standing in his way.
I wouldn't say all characters are more interesting in their ultimate universe, Ewing's Immortal Thor and Cates's more horror oriented run on the Hulk are still fantastic.

Yes and no, it wasn’t jealously and it was always intended to be a weapon, he was literally building a bomb for the military. And it was the dumbest plot point known to man kind which is why they quickly forgot about it considering it was Rick Jones fault for being there and getting Banner caught in the blast, if Rick wasn’t around what Tony did wouldn’t have affected anyone.
It was revealed in that same plot line that Tony tinkered with the bomb to make the payload smaller. If Tony hadn’t tinkered with it Bruce would have died
I really like the new iterations of Hulk/She-Hulk here. Hopefully Marvel comics has always had trouble figuring out compelling stories to tell with the Original She-Hulk, I'm hoping things are *DIFFERENT* this time around.... 🧐

i agree 100% about the ultimate universe being more interesting than the main universe! i used to love reading the What If series of comics and this right here hits that sweet spot for me! after growing up with comics for 40 years its almost childs play to think about what happens when main marvel characters interact with each other. whats canon is hard to reignite the imagination. ultimates make things fresh again and its not as predictable!❤❤❤❤❤

Like you can mkae regular Marvel and DC fun to read. I would just make it so all the stories are epic and the consequences of those stories stick. Don't reset or reboot ever. If Someone dies they die. No clone. No rez.
