Me too! I don't know what's taking them so long to get it down here. I almost bought it in Canada recently but didn't have the space to take 2 drills home

@toolscientist do you know anything about what makes Hilti batteries so good? I hear they have excellent power management electronics but don't have any specifics

@@BoltahDownunder my guess would be that they under charge them. Li-ion can go up to 4.2v/cell but most brands only do 4.1v. Hilti might be doing 4v which gives even longer life. They might also have a higher low voltage cut-off. So basically trading runtime for longevity - which is a very Hilti thing to do.

@@BoltahDownunder was your 24V measurent fresh off the charger or after a day or two? If fresh off the charger, then they prob do 4v/cell. If after a few days it could be that the cells have degraded a bit and can't hold more than 4v/cell.

So basically they're keeping the cells well with their comfort zones to increase lifespan, just like the drills. That IS a very Hilti thing to do.
I don't recall about the charge (this was filmed 6 weeks ago) but I'll give it a few more tests and get back to you.
