- I'm sharing with you an FTMO Risk Management Strategy that you can customize to fit your trading system. Many people fail the FTMO challenge following the generic 1% risk advice. I will share with you how I analyze my data and optimize risk in a special way to beat the FTMO challenges. I'm funded by FTMO and several prop firms and my goal is to help others along their journey. The tips in this video work for MFF (My Forex Funds), Top Tier, The Funded Trader, and other prop firms.

Going to give the FTMO challenge a shot soon and I have been 10% profitable on only one setup trading news on my Demo account scaling up. After split testing certain strategies I’ve concluded to only use A set ups risking 2% or $2k on a $100k account. With a 2.5 risk to reward ratio.
another way is to find setups with very tight stop loss where you can trade higher lot size with same risk percentage as usual this is how i personally do it
@@ToxxicMafiayup. I risk 5% to make 5 or even 10% and be done with the first phase. Obviously you need to wait for perfect setup
100k acount with total drowdown of 10% that means your real balance is 10k Not 100k

The point is, in all that time I've never heard of the playbook, even tho I watched hundreds of hours of trading content on YT and bought also some courses. So personally I would like a video more detailed only about the playbook. From your video it seems to me that it's what im missing to do the next level.

I wish i saw this video before i took my FTMO challenge i feel every part especially the inconsistent risk part when i had a losing week i risked 1% and 2% and winning week only risked a 0.5% also i didnt know which setups is more stronger but i am improving my system a lot and next time i am gonna apply everything!❤

Hi. I use tradingview indicator for lots size calculation. Its called “Position -/lot size calculator” by Sonarlab! Its really helpful, just make sure you always change the contract size for the pair you using. It is found in mt5 pairs/details/contract size. Btw i really like your channel. This was really really useful. Going through the FTMO challenge now and I've been trading it like i would when passed. Taken 6 successful trades - all great set ups. 0 losses, but because of using low risk, I've not passed yet.
Glad it was helpful. It took me time to learn that I needed to raise my risk while taking the challenges.

In my trade plan, my A+ setups are my wave patterns that are fundamentally backed.
But they must also be forming at an extreme price zone where there are less alternates.
They work with high accuracy but I've not been tweaking the risk management like you've suggested.
That will be the next goal.
Now, I see so many C grade setups that have caused unnecessary drawdowns because I couldn't stay patient to wait for the best ones.

This idea came out long time ago for trading (no matter for prop firms' tests or real account trading) in my head but my poor execution skills (preparedness for a potential A+ setup + in the trade + hold the trade into the profit that I deem as it might have reversal) stop me from there. Therefore, I still have my homework to do to improve my performance.

(1) What do you think of Assymetrical Compounding? Does it work or should we avoid it?
(2) And what if we want to take multiple positions, is that risk calculated from the remaining capital?
or should we take one trade at a time?

He also likes to increase risk when he's winning and reduce them when there's drawdown.
It seems a bit similar to asymmetric compounding.
Hi Liman,
(1) - I do something similar to (AC) when i'm winning and losing. As I win, I increase my risk for A setups and as I'm losing or in drawdown for the month I decrease my risk. See my risk table in my other video, "How to Pass the $100K challenge".
(2) The total risk for the trade idea will be split across the positions. For example, 3 positions, $900 total risk for the trade idea. Each position will get $300 risk.
Wtf even is a “C set up” ? If u don’t see an “A set up” don’t enter PERIOD.

As a funded trader for a futures "prop" firm, if the setup looks very good and passes alot of my requirements for a good setup I usually make the first trade the riskiest, then the next trade about half or less risk than the first, and thats usually a good day if I can just get two trades in. Also, you can have a 60% win rate and still lose money if you don't have your stop losses set up properly. What platform do you use that allows you to add those magic keys? I trade forex but never heard of magic keys.

@@abdullahrasheed Thank you for the response. I have a quick one.. how did you get to the point where you leave your trades to run. I usually once I'm up i find myself closing it tooo early and missing out on the move due to the fear of losing the trade. Some have suggested set and forget principle but that never works and it's psychological I guess.
So how do you handle yourself when you're already in a trade. Because for me objectivity seems to work out the door and I get more emotional.
