The time for the tower of power was 10.8 to 60 btw 😂😂
Not bad for an old bus.
Some new inlet manifold gaskets might get it under 9 the engine is isuzu developed originally by Honda
I guessed 10 seconds, pretty chuffed with that. 😂
10.8 is not bad at all. I seen modern similar size cars with a ridiculous 1.2 or 1.5 turbo engine. No wonder they are resdy to be recycled after 10 or 15 years
Beast 😂🤣😭
MOT advisory- Battery insecure - ‘we’ll get it some therapy’
No chance these days mental health does not exist Arggg lol according to the government 🙄😤
😂😂 , no tell it to hold on tight .
And be positive...
Fix it, you don’t see many on the road now.
Q. How many psychotherapists does it take to 'Change' a light bulb ?
A. Only 'One' but the bulb must really want to change !
It's worth saving it as people out there wanting them
Who?
The wife walked in as you were digging the canal tributary for the lake she said what are you watching 😂😂 i said shhh its brilliant 😂😂 , can’t wait for the car out of hedge video…
🤣🤣
I think it's worth saving. If you're not stuck for space, leave it be for now, and come back to it when (if) there's a lul in work. As long as it isn't in the way, it's not costing you anything to sit for a while.
Do you realize almost every bolt is rusty
@@nobs40 It's a shitter, but there's still some life in it. I wouldn't spent a huge amount of time or money on it. But if Ben's estimation is right, and 2 solid days would get it right, then surely it's worth saving?
@@MrManBuzz everything is possible
Keep it and give it some love. Becoming very rare now and be a decent addition to the chanel. Always had a soft spot for those.
I hope you decide to do the work. 👍🏻
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely worth saving as that MOT can't be the final Frontier 😂 Spitfire needs you first and then do Frontera as and when 👍🏻
Fix it!!!! Love the Frontera. Such an icon of the 90s. I remember they were everywhere.
Yea in scrap yard or off road course. Rust bucket.( no offence meant)
I loved seeing the old Rover towing another car what a car unbelievable.
I’m from a place called Woodridge IL. Good ol USA
Been following you for a while and love what you do. Just the honesty of your repairs brings me back to my days as a former knuckle busting jobs in order for the vehicle can get back on the road. If you have merch I would love to support you and hope you can keep bringing these great vehicles back to life
Thanks mate love the states I have family there your car scene is unrivalled! There's a merch link in the video description and we can send it all out to you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The reason we’re all here Ben is that we all love a ball ache, and you are the perfect “vehicle” (no pun intended) to deliver it ! I vote she stays !
Also, great job on the Suez……two things though;-
1) Was the thing in the middle the Bedford Rascal?
2) Are you sure you PICKed the right tool for the Job 😉
Keep ‘em comin’
JCHK
I did what you are doing only without RUclips and loved everything about it spent many hours and days doing cars up I miss doing that and that's why I love watching your video's I think once anyone as done it ,it's something that sticks with you forever.
Would love to see you get that frontera back on the road it's so worth it and I think you would regret not doing it in the future great video as always 👊
Ben, you have to fix this up! It was my Dad's favourite car. He had a smaller, Sport version. He loved these cars, and he's no longer with us.
I watched this knowing it would bring me a lot of nostalgia, then you said you'd got it off a guy named Ray. My dad was called Ray.❤
You should make him an offer for the car when its back on the road.
Some people are natural entertainers. You are one of those people.
It’s got to be worth saving Ben & you are the man to get it done. Just park it & add it to your to do list👍🏻
It would be great to see you put this back on the road as it is so rare and most of it is in such good condition.
I like your sense of humour Ben, if you could turn the Frontera around in two days then go for it any longer than that it wouldn't be economical with everything else you have going on.
Take care and see you on the next one, Gareth
Think it's definitely worth getting back on the road. And I hope the battery gets all therapy it needs. Looking forward to the next one.
I wonder if it might be worth getting a load of ballast from somewhere mate and filling that crater in so you don't have to mess with it again.
I’d happily watch you get stuck into the Vauxhall, definitely worth doing. Looking forward to seeing the Spitfire transformation. Another cracking video Ben.
Would love to see you get that Frontera back on the road!!! Love it)
They (3.2 V6) are so rare! Yes bring it back on the road please Ben. It's a good looking car and we get another lovely video of you welding and swearing at brake pipes 😆😆
I had a 1999 V reg 3.2 V6 Frontera. It was a fun old beast, never let me down and went anywhere! It still lives on today at my mates place. Another mate of mine built these at the IBC factory in Luton and he owned it before me.
Hi Ben, your drainage solutions segment has to be the best 'adjunct' to a serious video since the IKS exploration team started to do cooking videos and attempted to show me how to cook a tin of beans !
(Keep it coming ! 😁)
Made me realise I'd literally watch the bloke do anything 😂
I'm tempted to go deeper with it! Need a pickaxe!
Needs a proper 2nd grid at the lowest point of the puddle connected with the main drain by a pvc pipe on a slope.
Easily done for around £17,000 voila !
😂😂😂
YESS please fix this Frontera ! Like you said it is running fine and it is looking still so well, and that is the most important reason to do it, it will make ( again) a very nice long video on this great Channel !!!
You can give this 4x4 its life back for the future
I like how you've got your chair out to watch Lake Geneva drain down the Suez Canal lol
Definately worth saving Ben, Keep up the good work.
I don't know much about cars when it comes to mechanics but I really enjoy your content
Me neither 😅
To MOT or not.... Just a different MOT. If you order Limestone quarry waste (1 ton.) you will be given 0mm to 50mm ballast to fill that puddle. which is known as MOT. However you can specify 30mm to 50mm stones which is more pervious ballast, as used for railways, and makes better drainage. Well done on the Suez Canal, a friend of mine, who was an Agri-Contractor, said you always have to remove any 'Waterfalls' from canals or ditches, to get the flattest levels. He didn't mention Islands..😀😀😀
Your light hearted adventures cheered me up after my Citroën Xsara Picasso snapped her front spring 40 miles from home at 5 pm on Good Friday . 😂
Definitely you have to get that Frontera back on the road with functional brakes. Btw, this episode made me laugh so hard. Such a fun channel.
Only Ben could possibly call almost an hour long video “short”!
Most people get grumpy if their visual gratification takes half an hour and the other channels I watch regularly often apologise if they take more than 25minutes.
But I like this arrangement. Even the 2 hour episodes are brilliant, though I do usually have to split those up. If I ever get back to work, my preference may well change, but for now, these epic episodes are grand!
Awesome video as always Ben.My favourite classics channel on RUclips by far.
it’s definitely worth saving👍😊😊😊😊😊😊
Yes save it till you have time and do it! Such a great channel we would all love to see it being worked on!
You get more pro with every video. Very entertaining as usual. Cheers.
There are many vehicles i would love to see on this channel..Hillman Imp, CF Bedford van, Commer van..maybe s Wartburg or Moskovic. Even a Thundersley invacar. I would sink so low as to enjoy watching an HA bedford be brought back to life but I suspect most of them would fit in a bin liner by now.
Remember how the rain loved the mark1 101 Victor, built with Belgium steel panels. If you walked past it with a wet towel it fell apart with rust.
100% worth getting it back on the road. Great content out of it and a very interesting unexceptionable car! Sell the Disco and use it for towing when you need.
Love a fronny! Sounds like a raffle / merch give away is looming!
Get a swimming pool pump for your puddle, mate. Hosepipe down the drain, no danger. 😊
Great video save save save powerful engine sounds great, so funny as well
Save it, Save it, Save it !!
Seriously though, obviously got to be worth your while.
Always great to watch any Tasty Classic video !!!
'Leave well enough alone' is what i told myself as I'm laying on my back in the rocks, cleaning the underside of the transmission tunnel. I never listen to reason.
Yes put it back on the road love your show keep up the good work
I can confirm, my tasty classic car freshener smells of fresh meadows.
My dad was an engineer at Vauxhall when they were designing the Frontier
Years ago, i'm thinking 2003 or so, my mate had a top of the range Frontera which had full leather seats and all the toys for that time. I'm guessing it was a 2.2 diesel but whatever it was, it was a superb car. I love these things, proper old school. Keep it and resurrect it as only you can Ben 😄😄
Hi had iits big brother vxhall Monterey 2.0 diesel great motor but the chassis was doctored up failed MOT big time sold the engine to a boat man still going strong great channel keep them coming regards🏴🇬🇧📹🚙
LOVE a Monterey, a bit out of my price bracket though 😂
Definitely worth doing, getting rare now. Great episode, give it some therapy 😂
I am going through the same thing with my car at the moment and I have spent 3,000 pounds on it in parts that have already been replaced and now it now needs a air con pump, air con re filling, it's needs new fan belt and timing belt, new coolant temperature sensor and thermostat, it's needs new brake pads also, so I know how your feeling but it's a nice feeling when everything is fixed and back on the road again then you don't have to worry about anything about it anymore, no more worries, you can move on
Fronteras are genuinly good cars, even more so with that v6, i vote to get it passed MOT😃😃
Do it! I have fond memories of the old Frontera, had one as a company car years ago and had fantastic fun, taking the kids camping all over the place. Did thousands of miles it that thing, never let us down. Deserves a second chance.
Dickie is a helpful lad - Godsend!
It's nice to have a good neighbor, look me Mr. Dickie, willing to drop a welding project to pump brakes, or rev or the engine, for an adventurous young neighbor.!
Definitely worth saving 😊
The frame looks good so I would happily watch you struggle with it when you have the time. Well done on the canal!
It is totally worth doing the Frontera, for sure. Beauty of a SUV, save it!
Get it back on the road! Beast of a motor 👍
Good Morning Ben. Rather liking this Lovely 1990's Vauxhall Frontera, 3.2 V6 Beast of an SUV of a time gone by. I really think that it is worth doing those Jobs on him, getting him to a very Good Road Worthy condition, repair and Weld all of the Rusty bits, sort the Mechanicals of this Beauty, You have the ability, knowledge and the Expertise to revive this Rare vehicle. This would be a very Good Project for Tasty Classics to carry out all of the Nessesary work. You can really do this Ben. This would be really Good U Tube Professional material. Just go for it mate!!!!!!
Definitely worth saving! Not many about anymore and its really nice inside for its mileage. The work is annoying though haha I spent my morning fitting a fuel pump to my cavalier and now the heater matrix has gone 😂
Frontara is definitely worth doing if just because its got such a great engine, go on Ben you know you want to ! 🤔😀😂 oh and happy easter to you and yours 🤗. kind regards mike.
Save it Ben ! You can turn this round. Could be also a good spare tow car. Please save ! So rare now on the roads and you can do it
Do it Ben, you know it makes sense, a great tow car to save the discovery having to do all the work.
100% get this back on the road!
Definitely worth it. You don’t see many of those on the road anymore 👌🏻
I personally would enjoy seeing you do the work on the frontera because it's a cracking car and you just don't see many on the road no more so its a BIG YES FROM ME GREAT VIDEO 👍
Not really into cars but I've done plenty of car repairs over the years from welding, head gaskets and clutches. Ex motorcycle race technician many years ago but now find myself sodding around with RC cars. But, after watching a few of your vids, I got the bug for some bodgery and tinkering. Went out and got a car last Friday cheap off of eBay. Put a new gearbox in it and done various bits of paintwork. I was going to sell it for a quick profit but I'm keeping it now lol. New tyres being fitted tomorrow. Subscribed.
Looking forward to the spitfire paint content Ben
I love the quip about the battery insecurity 😂👍🏻, I used to work at IBC where they produced the Frontera, for old times sake would love to see you get back to this when you have time 👍🏻, if I remember correctly the ladder frame chassis was produced by Thompson, they also supplied Land Rover.
Great Video as always 👍🏻
A friend of mine has one. Every so often we check out “how many left” . There’s about 70 Fronteras running in the UK
Loved the jazzy music tracks whilst you were digging the canal Ben :)
Making watching a puddle drain entertaining is a testament to your capabilities mate, next one we should be treated to some paint drying in time lapse 🤣If you are able to make that funny, I will make a donation in support of it 👍🙃
Glad you got one of these , getting rare now , shame it has that rusty untreated body , but boy did it sound fantastic during the Italian tune up process .
ive had loads of fronteras love them would love this myself
I have always loved the Frontera.
Its shape has aged well and still looks good.
Great content as usual Ben , I would sort the car out as it would be a great back up tow car when the Discovery decides to break down !!!
Who knew a video about a big puddle could be so entertaining 😂
Oh...and Fix the Frontera!!!
I say give it a bit of love first, good chance someone else would throw the towel in on the welding unless they REALLY love Fronteras. Getting rare now!
I would love to see this Frontera brought back to life a bit of a rare v6 model these days. I would defo watch more of this i really enjoyed it. thanks ben. 👍👍👍👍
Tell you what mate I’d have ordered a couple of one ton bags of gravel and brought the level of the puddle up - then it can’t fill back up again.
I think that's definitely the next stop!
I definitely would like to see you save this one and take it to pick up a car or two lol it does definitely deserve to be saved not a lot of theme and you are definitely the man for this job lol thanks for the awesome content you put out always top notch content looking forward to your next chapter
How about a v.2 Channel covering all aspects of drainage and flood control measures? 😅
Of course you should put it back on the road, that's what the channel is all about isn't it??
Be great to see it saved, can't remember the last time I saw a Frontera on the road, can't be too many left.
I think you should fix it up and get it back on the road,it could be a more reliable back up vehicle than the land rover😊. Really enjoying your channel content right now,the spitfire should look smart all painted up,looking forward to that episode.
Hiya Ben, love your volgs mate very intertaining, and yes you should throw a few quid at the vauxhall it's a lovely old thing , I think if you got it back on the road with a MOT someone will bite your hand off me included, only trouble I've got to move out of the ulez zone and I will be doing. All the best 👍 keep up with the good work 👏.
I think it’s worth saving there becoming quite rare now I bet there’s not many left with interior like yours I’d shelve it until you have the time to sort it 👍
Yes do it ❤
I honestly think this together with a Landrover Discovery is one of the most ‘parked up’ broke car in people’s driveways.
Yes definitely get it to pass mot and then drive the wheels off it!!!
We love to hear you swear and cus and we like to see you weld so yes come back to it another time
Lovely bit of drainage
Appreciate that mate drainage is important 😅
It's nice old machine give it another chance. I think you should do it when you have the time. 😊
I think it's worth repairing and selling on. Might make a few quid plus you'll have the content there. Good luck, love your channel
Awesome v log get it fixed up & use as a daily probably be more reliable than the disco 😂😂
Another great mixture of mechanical stuff and hilarious s**t. Great formula Ben.
How did you get into that spitfire ? I went to the 1978 motor show at the NEC in Birmingham. I was 13 years old. Spitfires were still in production then and on the British Leyland stand was a few spitfires. Back in '78, I was 6 feet tall, but for the life of me I could not get into the bloody thing. Anyway that was the time that I fell in love with the Rover SD1. and in later years I had about 12 of them. I can't drive anymore and have a mobility scooter to get around. So your videos remind me alot about mt past. Keep them coming. As far as the Frontera goes, sell it on as is. .You have far mor deserving projects there.
