@@Saber23 Howard and Raj actually had their petty and bad moments as well in this show. Sometimes they can be just as bad as Penny and Sheldon.
@@Saber23Tbh they’re all punching bags at some point or another in the show. Sheldon is absolutely brutal towards Penny for being uneducated, dumb and slutty. Penny was shown to be somewhat harsh towards Leonard at times, while Leonard also mocked and ridiculed her to the point that she felt insecure about her own intelligence (believing in psychics). Sheldon mocks Leonard’s career relentlessly. Howard ragged on Raj a lot - it wasn’t as toxic as some of the other relationships but it still counts for something. Everyone mocks and humiliates Sheldon for acting the way he does, which he absolutely deserves. The point of the show is that they grow as a group; it’s an anthology of their personal development written across 12 seasons, culminating with all characters addressing and overcoming their trauma at some point in the final season.

Poor thing did not even know the diff. b/w if somebody was messing around, being sarcastic or genuine. Can you just imagine how hard it would have been for him?? He said inappropriate things because he did not know that he was being inappropriate. There is a difference sir.
I have never hated anyone as much as Leonard's mom. Nothing about her is funny to me.
So glad Leonard found a warm, cheerful, loving wife and good friends who genuinely care about him.

Leonard is the most heartwarming character in the show. Glad you've made a video about him. Haven't even seen it yet, but totally sure it is as great as any of your other work. Keep doing what you do, you are talented as hell.

Leonard was always my favorite, even when later seasons made him such an asshole 😭 his issues with his family were always played for laughs so I always love to see things like this that take it seriously, this was a wonderful edit 🥺

asshole? When exactly? I mean they were all characters had bad personality traits, and that makes them realistic and closer to us.
@tobiaszkukotko8655 specifically towards Sheldon, he treated him a lot less like a friend and was constantly being mean to him. And Penny as well, he often didn't treat her with much respect (repeatedly nagging her about her not wanting children, which she eventually gave into pretty out of nowhere) He cheated on her (and Priya as well) which is hard to forgive. There's character flaws and there's straight up being an asshole, honestly by the last few seasons it felt like they were all being so mean to each other and being bad friends to the point where it just wasn't funny anymore
Asshole? I have watched show the more than 30 times? In the later seasons, Penny was always a jerk to him. But Leonard? Oh boy, we watched a different show.
@@dvornikovalexei Penny was a jerk to him in later seasons, I agree. But he was one too. Nearly all the characters got a lot meaner as the show went on.
I loved the part that he said " I forgive you " it was so mature of him. it was a big step for him it shows so much emotional growth it was so inspiring. it made me cry.
to be honest, he gave up. with a mother like that, any child would.
@@sparhawk29 it was the best course of action he could take. He was right: she's never going to change, so the best he could do, for his own well-being, is to work hard on stopping her horrible parenting character from affecting him.
In cases like this, forgiveness is not for the benefit of the other person, it's for your own peace of mind. And it's something she can't take credit for. He didn't grow up the great man he is BECAUSE of her crap parenting, but DESPITE it.
@@sparhawk29 he had to, there was no solution to his mother. she was the worst in the show. she never deserved any kindness but leonard being able to give up against her was the closest he could get
@@barbyzz22 Exactly. It was 100% for his own peace of mind. In the whole scene, after he says "I forgive you," she responds, "I didn't ask for your forgiveness." He interrupts her, "It doesn't matter, I forgive you anyways...and I forgive myself for taking so long to do it." And that forgiveness is for HIM. It's for HIS wellbeing. He's so relieved that he finally did it that he has to sit himself down and bask in the weight off his shoulders.
Leanord the reason all of them became friends. He is always nice to all his friends that's why they are together.
This hits different without the laugh track, the drama hidden between the humour.

Johnny plays Leonard soooo well, he adapts 2 ea. character he's doing flawlessly, his films R good, his TV characters R good, it's as if HE becomes the characters he plays. With Leonard's character, he dove extra deep, helping us 2 C & feel the character, all his insecurities, all his loneliness, all his emotional issues with the mother he longed 2 B close 2 & the care he wished he could get frm her. WELL DONE Johnny Galecki!!

Leonard is such a soft and well written character. He was my favourite for a longg time since the very beginning and i can never imagaine having someone who took care of me the way he did to sheldon. Im glad this is the theme of his video it fits soo well. I love him.
god. my mum hardly shows love affection etc "i forgive you" is one of the hardest things to say. I love leonard sm hes such a charcter a.. a demonstration of how love can we with-held from you growing up and as an adult.
my favourite character throughout the show, probably because i relate to him so much in terms of being a ‘satisficer’ (to use the sheldonian term) and putting everyone else before me. this edit perfectly captures how overlooked leonard’s emotional trauma was, you are so talented. i’ve been waiting for another edit, so glad you’re back!

And I like how Sheldon looks solemnly at him without jokes, judgements or snarky comments, just sheer comprehension.
There are stories attached to every character, which due to the frequent laugh tracks and jokes, most people rarely come to recognize, let alone appreciate or empathize with. But you really brought that out for each character and that too so accurately and beautifully. All of these TBBT edits made me tear up, which I didn't think could happen.

I have really difficult relationship with my mother too bcoz she's disturbed herself so I can feel it from the core of my heart ohh she's much much better than Beverly fortunately but ik the feeling of lack of love and care your mom.showes towards you his mom.said why do you think I'm not proud of you he said bcoz you never said it , it was enough for him that his mother just say it once , poor Leonard deserved better , it's hard being him
I don't like how people say forgive other people for your own sake, and it doesn't always work either. But in Leonard's case, him forgiving his mother was the kindness his showed himself, accepted his and his mom's relationship was never going to be normal. It was because he deserved that closure. I loved Beverley as a character but hated her as Leonard's mom. She's the worst mother and literally nothing she does to make up is ever going to change the pain she put him through all his life.
I'm glad Sheldon changed though and Leonard has friends who love him. He can have a decent, not very close relationship with his parents, but move on in his life with Penny and his child. The last part, I need a a fanfic for it.

I don't think so. There's Sheldon's fans and after that Leonard's fans. In fakt 😉 i'm polish and we got title of the series translated as a "Big pick up theory" so we ca interpretate that Leonard's love to Penny is the main plot.

That's because he was stuck as a character until the maternal Conclusion and it's apt. The trauma he faced isn't easy to grow up from. I had a terrible childhood, an abusive father and i was stuck and confused in my life until I was like 30.
My favourite character, just for the sheer fact that he was the most emotionally damaged, he was as smart as the rest , but he was also the heart and soul of the show imo, great edit

My mom is a lot like Leonard’s, she’s even a psychiatrist, so I really get how he feels. It takes so much work and effort to get to the point where you can accept and forgive your parent if they’re like this. I’ve accepted that my mom is the way she is, but I don’t have it in me to forgive her.
I hope you find peace someday ❤. Not saying you have to forgive your mom, because you don't have to. Sometimes I feel like the best answer is to try and build a good life for oneself, just like Leonard did.

I am SO proud of Leonard for forgiving his mother and himself. He had every right to be mad at her and he chose to do the hard thing and forgive her. No one is perfect in this world, the best we can do is try to be happy, and that's what Leonard chose to do. ❤
They all work together as friends because no one had a good relationship with their parents that’s why they understand each others feelings
I cried after watching this because I understand leonard pain. Unlike him I had a mom who there for me. But there was were some people in life I wanted approval from. One was my sister and she has always rejected me since I was born. She always thought she was better than me. Now here we are grown women and she hasn't spoken to me in over 10 years.

Leonard's story with his mother breaks my heart. My mother was a hot mess, but I knew she loved me. I got hugs and cuddles. I got the cold condescension over low A versus high A, but I also was loved. Although the better deeper love feelings came from my Dad. I miss my Dad.

I was the same with my mother. Didn’t speak to her for more than 20 years. I was persuaded to reconnect 2 years before she unexpectedly died but I never felt loved and I rarely think of her now
