As a nerd and a neuro diverse person i feel that the big bang theory was the first sitcom that didnt make fun of highly-functional neuro diversity but laughted with the nerddom instead of at it. And Jim Parsons was a big part of that.

I could listen to him talk for hours. There aren't many people I'd be comfortable just "being" around, but his personality inspires you to let your guard down. Safe space energy. A sage soul.

I didn’t watch Big Bang Theory when it was on but recently started watching it on HBO. I can’t begin to explain my deep love of this show and it’s group of super talented actors.
I never watched it when it was on either. My husband and I watched it religiously when we found it. Now we are finished and SO sad that it is over. 😂😢
Same . I don't like the writing if the shhow much . They could have done much better with the characters but the actors were just marvelous. Even if Sheldon was condescending many times him and Amy were my favorite characters andd couple of all time
Same here I saw a few episodes when it was new, skip to 2024 and over the last few weeks I'm on season 7, completely in love with the series. Young Sheldon is next!
One of the few big stars that seems like a genuinely nice person. Not just for the camera.
Jim is so contemplative, and articulate. He almost seems to be somber or bearing a sadness that sticks with him. He’s dedicated so much of his life to make us all happier. I have such an incredible respect for him. I’m grateful for everything he’s done

Oh how I miss my Shelly on Thursday. I absolutely adore Jim. He gave me so many laughs. No matter how bad I feel, if I turn on an episode of BBT, I can laugh away and feel better.
It is hard not seeing people we’ve come to love and watch how they go through life. Another show that I miss is “Mom”.

he feels like such a cozy person. like other comments have said, i could listen to him speak for hours.. he just feels safe and genuine. I love seeing that he has grown into who he really is and feels comfortable with.
As much as I loved BBT, Jim chose the right time to non renew. The writers did an outstanding job in the final season. The last episode was incredible. I had hoped for a reunion holiday special, especially with the hints dropped during Young Sheldon.

He's actually a lot more insightful and emotionally intelligent than his character Sheldon. Quite a strong difference. Seems like a really nice and gentle soul.
I loved getting to see him as “himself”. So many times, I think people associate actors with the roles they play on tv / movies.
I clicked because I was feeling bad and I needed some noise to fill in the silence. I ended up listening and crying. He sounds like a very sensitive and thoughtful person.

"If you ask people the main 3 or 4 things that really shaped who they are...being happy with who they are, they're almost all tragedies". Many authors explored this theme, and this is a great way to summarise the concept.
Tough reality, but that's life. Going through tragedies and hurdles means going also out of the comfort zone that ultimately leads to improvement and new discoveries.
That was one of the best 15 minutes I have spent this week!!!! This was lovely. gives me an even deeper respect for Jim.

I remember back in high school EVERY lunch we’d go to a friends house and watch the newest episode of BBT and I specifically remember the final episode we were touched by it. Such great memories watching it
