My husband and I turned off the news and watched this video. Thank you for the escape from the real world!
We watched Cars for the first time last night and everything suddenly made sense. 😄♥️🚔🚘🚗
OMGoodnesssss!!!! That dude Harley is still jamming and entertaining!?!?! Holy Moley!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a character!!! Massive props to that man!
I have no words. I'm just gob-struck. God bless you Harley.
This guy is a legend .. starts ripping a J mid story 😂 love it ! Great work as usual , Justin !
it was as if a light turned on, when Harley got behind the mic. He loves to entertain for sure!
One of the things that has me coming back to your current series of Route 66, is that I'm painting artwork for the upcoming centennial of Route 66.. So all of your videos are inspirational for me to keep creating! I love what you do, and also the passion you have for this landmark road. Keep up the good work!
That’s interesting. My husband Jim Ross and I are writing a book for the Route 66 Centennial called “Route 66: The First 100 Years.” Yay for the centennial of Old Highway 66!
Harley. What a cool guy! Makes me wanna drive out there to meet him.
This guy is amazing. Truly amazing. I would love to see his place and all the really cool pieces that him and his wife have collected and saved over the years. I know antiques and vintage items and he’s sitting on a gold mind but I am so glad that he is keeping it all together for people to see that’s the whole point of all of it.
He really is sitting on a gold mine, but he won’t sell anything and I respect his decision. I’m just wondering what happens to all of it when he passes away.
@@johng5710 I agree with you 100% there are so many pieces there that he has that are probably extremely rare. I think it would be really cool if somebody could open a museum on route 66 for just pieces like these I feel like they should be on display for people to see and enjoy, hopefully it doesn’t all get auctioned off, but that’s probably what will happen one day when he’s gone
@@user-sh2rk4he7wThere is a Route 66 Museum in Clinton, Oklahoma that is very good, affiliated with the Oklahoma History Center. And another museum is located in Elk City, Oklahoma. ✅
Thank YOU for featuring Harley Russell, former professional session musician 🎸, in Erick, Oklahoma! “Get Your Kicks on Route 66!”
We were hoping you'd meet up with him again!
Lots of London smiles! Thank you for being an Awesome Dad!!!! 💪💯💞💓🤗🤪
Harley is a treasure. 🎉
Wow, this is so cool, and what an interesting guy! I'd love to visit someday. Also, fun fact: Sheb Wooley was the actor who gave us the infamous Wilhelm Scream.
Sheb Wooley was in the western classic High Noon with Gary Cooper.
We did Route 66 for our honeymoon in 2022 because of you!!! My dream was to do Route 66 (& I want to go back every day) hopefully in a few years we’ll bring our kids when they’re a little older. But anyway!! We loved visiting Harley. He kept calling me hot stuff & asking how my husband landed me. He’s an absolute card😂
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Harley twice while on Route 66 road trips…he didn’t play any music for me but I don’t care, we just talked about his collection of signs and other memorabilia…he’s a cool guy to talk to! I’ll probably be back in 2026 for the 100th anniversary of Route 66!
Had a few first dates at the baked Potato, its across the freeway from Universal and they have potato's as large as watermelons and the best live music anywhere.
I've lived my entire life in Oklahoma, and I have heard to Erick but I had never heard of Harley or his awesome place. Will definitely have to go check it out sometime.
Go Harley, you rebel! I wish more people had Harley's spirit. This was a super fun video. Thank you!
Wow!!! Justin, Harley is a legend!!!! It would be an honor to meet this man. Love the video. Thanks for sharing.
I'm focused on all the cigarette butts in the ashtray. (I have asthma.)
Love Route 66!🎼🎶🎵🏍️🏍️🏍️
Justin. Freaking awesome video. My husband and I are in our 60’s, and this is precious. Thank you.❤
We loved the Kansas section of rt66. Don't miss it.
Another great Route 66 episode. I remember you visiting Harley the last time. What a character!
you never heard the song King of the Road... Roger Miller wrote the song.. you should listen to it.
Yeah, I was surprised he never heard of him.
at least he take that airraid alarm serious.
I was in Wyoming once when the siren went off for a real tornado. I asked the motel manager where to go and he said not to worry cause it's unlikely to actually pass directly over us. I don't think they've ever experienced flying debris.
@@kweejee true, in mine country we have begin of the month on monday airraid test and the last goverment want to stop it. however the airraid we also using for big fire or for gasleak or something else. i found that really importment and glad that London take it serious. you never know what happens.
Love this! Fantastic video, Justin. Love to meet Harley. ❤
Truly a beautiful episode! Great job! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks heaven for Harley 😅.
I have different house in Spokane Washington. The neighbors hate me too
And don't like the old long hair vetinam veteran ,native American house. Love you all, from Gwynn and James Spokane Washington
The Baked Potato!! So long sincerely I’ve heard that place mentioned.
At the end of this trip, we need an op-ed from London with his perception on the entire trip.
I could smell his ashtray through the laptop
I’ve been to that store before and dude is chill.
Visiting Harley is absolutely going on my bucket list!
Love those jams and just makes my bussy wiggle!
So cool!!!!! Love this video and this man!!!!!
That was awesome!! Harleys show, the Germans riding up on hogs 🤩👍👍
He is one COOL DUDE
great job Justin nice video
Greatest videos Justin fun fun
Thanks that place was awesome I enjoyed watching
An OK man that partakes in the green is a man that is OK to me! 😎👏
Justin, I’m surprised at you. Roger Miller did the music for Disney’s Robin Hood. You being a Disney fan I would have thought you’d known that
One of One . He’s a good guy.
My wife’s large father played with Roger Miler.
Late Father 😂sorry
Good Job brother!!!
You never heard of Roger Miller?!! Dude, "King of the Road."
Awesome video!
As Roger Miller famously sang, "Ooh-de-lally, Ooh-de-lally, Golly what a day!"
Love this
Thst dude sounds awesome 👌 cool store
Bravo!
With all the crap on TV it's nice to c something worth watching. Thanks Justin maybe I'll c u on 66 in 25.
Watching this series, I can see just how heavily Pixar borrowed from 66 for Cars......heavily.
Sad to think what will happen to all he's collected after he's gone. Especially if the town has anything to do with it.
Dang Me.
I agree [as you do] that there is such a huge potential for making these towns into Rte 66 USA history ‘museums’. -Put up neons and few gift shops and a few motels on ‘main street’ and people WILL come back. Need some investors with deep pockets to see this potential.
Harley came to LIFE when the Germans showed up.. wow
Why didn’t you jam on stage with the band JS???
Harley is smoking oregano?
😂
This is so cool to see my buddy, Harley! I’ve partied with this guy most trips thru Erick. Bonus, Wolfgang (cowboy hat) Werz & his German tour group shows up☺️
I’m usually fortunate to hook up with the crew at MotorHeads in Springfield, IL when they cruise through but, being a Route 66 tour guide myself, I missed him this past trip.
These folks are all well known, as are you, in the Route 66 Family.
I’ll hafta look for your sticker on his door this summer✌🏼
Thanks for the video & spotlighting the Mother Road❣️
@@illinoy In the description, Justin wrote that Harley smoked oregano. I don’t know if “oregano” means something else lol. So, if you happen to make it to Harley’s…can you give his cigs a smell and let me know what you think. 😂😂
the guy who owns this is crazy he wouldn't let you leave unless you buy something took me 1/2 to get out of the place
Thanks Justin and London. Hopefully one day in the not so distant future, I can follow some of your footprints along America's greatest highway. 🏜
