i just discovered daughters of eve and i saw this comment and i just want to say thank you so much because the energy of this comment and the female positivity made me really emotional and i feel a little bit bittersweet that i barely even discovered this and these songs sound and feel like they should've been instant classics and i can't even find them on spotify and it feels like such a disservice to all these amazing girl bands of the 60's and the energy that you guys managed to transmit and i'm sorry for rambling but thank you so much, i've never looked up to someone so fast and i'm thinking about all the people who will never even get to discover this band or listen to them, i feel very lucky and i hope you're still doing amazing and finding success, this is a really late comment but i hope you had a really great day today
If this is really you... please put out some new songs and go back on tour. Classic rock is back in a huge way, it never left but the big companies just promote garbage now. Anyway, everyone wants the good tunes! I just discovered your song ey Lover the other day, it is now my favorite song, it just gets to me, in a perfect way. I suppose kind of like how the Beatles affected the girls.
MARSHOMEWORLD have you heard Hey Lover by them? It’s a cover that kicks all ass! It is maybe one of the best songs ever, I’m near weeping thinking how cool they were!
Of course it is awesome, if people stopped shutting down and acting like robots with false ego and false sophistication, they could cut loose, love these tunes, and feel something, and be alive again!
Definitely a pioneer girl band, but, not true that "nobody had ever done it before". England had The Liverbirds in '64. America's The Clinger Sisters aka The Clingers had been recording since 1964, doing everthing from girl group to hard rock. They lasted about 6 years with the original members, and appeared on several national TV variety shows, including The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, where they covered The Easybeats rocker, "Gonna Have A Good Time Tonight".
I think we were the first all girl group from the Windy City. There were others that i hadn't heard of before also. I don't think they were as young as us though.
Deb Pomeroy omg wait are you the debi pomeroy?? If so, is Lori Wax the asian member? I can’t seem to find a picture of y’all individually. it wld be really nice if you knew. I’m Chinese-Italian myself and I’ve never seen a female asian musician from this decade!
@@fuschiaflamingoes37 Just want to put this out there. I've noticed and listened to a lot of today's music and I know what the problem is: New music has no soul because it is all digital and electronic. Now, don't get me wrong, I like most electronic music if it's done with feeling and class and intelligence. The music I have heard on the internet and in public places really needs soul. I'm not talking about R&B soul, just S-O-U-L.
We were all teens then which is what is so amazing. I was all of 15 as were the other girls and one younger than that.
+Deb Pomeroy Great track
thnx

This is great!
That killer drumming could pass for a RAMONES intro. This kicks ass.
