As a Valentino fan, I painted a life-size (5'11") color wood cutout of Rudy in a suit, holding his hat, a few years ago for one of his memorial services at Hollywood Forever cemetery. The group in charge of the services placed the painting in front of everyone during the services, giving the illusion that Rudy was standing there. Afterwards, people took photos with it for about an hour and a half and were very complimentary to me about how enchanted they were with it! I enjoyed doing this for people to remember his legacy in a slightly different experience. RIP, fratello Valentino.
Always been proud of this man even though I was born 73 years after his death and never had the chance of meeting him live. But his legacy says it all, he did much for us with his movies and now it's time for us to repay him with this beautiful tribute of yours. Wherever he is now, I hope he's happy and safe and above all relieved that he's not been forgotten. He never deserved to die that way and at that age, he had yet a whole life to live and movies to make but I just hope he's doing good now. Thanks for your amazing video. Greetings from Italy ❤❤❤

I’ve often thought that too. Today, Rudy’s condition could be treated in a matter of hours no problem. It’s so heartbreaking to look at this glorious man knowing that antibiotics came out just a year or two after his death.

The colorization of these photos is amazing. It feels as though you can reach out and touch his face, that supple, soft skin. Could it be that Rudy really looked as beautiful in person as his photos? I just cannot imagine that. I know he had a scar on the right side of his face, and I have seen it. But that does not detract from his beauty, as a matter of fact, it enhances him even more. But just to think that there was a man that roamed the earth that looked like he did is mind boggling to me. I have seen many, many handsome men in my years, and I know that there have been and are men that possess and have possessed more beauty than him, but there is just something magical about Rudy that puts him above everyone else. It seems as though his charisma and endless charm jumps out at you, grabs you and does not let go. He is mesmerizing and hypnotic. I have never experienced that with any other man. His stardom actually worked against him when he was alive but, it kept his popularity imortalized thru five generations as of now. Romance is not sold in film anymore. Films are too visceral now. Romance and virtue does not sell tickets. I do think he would be a super star today altho. Passed away too soon. Longing for a film catalog that could have been. Ive always thought rudolph was a very handsome man and wished he wouldve lived a full life he seemed very talented to be in movies especially in a time when it was all just about emotion and looks. I see a man with a pretty smile that doesnt reach his eyes I see alot of sadness too and it got me thinking maybe he got tired of everything being about his looks. Tonight I wasnt able to sleep after reading more into his death as I feel that he died of medical malpractice and that they didnt even let him know he was dying and there couldve been more done for him I think they didnt help him because prejudice was still really bad and with him being from Italy they probably didnt help as much as they could've. Who knows maybe hes still around in spirit because he didnt get to accomplish everything he wanted to especially having children because of I watched his nephews interview and he was really close to him and wanted kids of his own he was at the height of his career so I would say he was ready for children and Pola wasnt. Its such a shame it's not fair for anyone to die young especially someone who had it hard and worked to get where they are in life.

He had a very good singing voice, and contemporaries said he spoke with very little accent. But some starstruck surgeons were too busy wringing their hands with worry over getting a specialist that they let too much time pass, which allowed the peritonitis to claim his life. If his spirit IS restless, then it's totally understandable.....
