Caiden is my younger brother and i can tell you this story is true and the last year has been really hard on our family. Regardless of whether or not he should have been playing for Deion, you don't treat people (especially kids) like this. It sickens me and i am so happy to see my brother finally get his voice heard and get to provide accountability to such a horrible situation.
I admire how respectful he’s been. Prayers for his continued health. His comment about The Rock and Lil Wayne being allowed on the sidelines was hilarious. Unfortunately, this situation was much worse than anyone could’ve imagined.

These two kids are great examples of what great parenting produces. Both these young men are going to do terrific in life. They handled themselves with dignity, class and intellect. God bless them!
nah bro eoghan was spoiled as a kid and was doing way too much, and when he realized he wasnt athletically/physically good enough to stay. He tried his best to build a personal relatioship with deion so that it would make it difficult to cut him. He was a goody two shoes and was praising deion way too much and as a college athlete myself. Coaches hate suck ups and uncoachable players. Head coaches arent your friends and thats what eoghan didnt understand.
It is very similar to working somewhere when you get a new boss who doesn't turn out to be what you hoped. It is not an easy experience. I hope these two young men do well in whatever they would like to do. The two guys seemed authentic and no doubt truthful. I know they will gain strength from this tough experience and be the better for it.

Exactly! This is what happens when you let the tv networks and journalists run your sport. For the last 20 years I have watched the media influence leagues and tell fans what SHOULD be done to make the sport better. In hindsight very few of those ideas were good for the actual game. A coddled life leads to zero wisdom and integrity. Deion has been coddled his entire life, simply because of his physical talent. Now that he is aging out of this value bracket, he has nothing to fall back on. He never had to develop resilience, integrity, or character. He never played with any, either. Listening to the repeated comments about how 18, 19 & 20 year olds are kids and can’t find their way in the world really makes me boil with disgust!! There are 18-20 yo persons around the globe driving nuke submarines, cruisers, Abram tanks etc & making life and death decisions saving lives and taking lives……. So not expecting “the KIDS as you label them” to be able to make their own decisions is just wrong. To me the college experience has severely weakened our country by being tolerant of less than mature behavior by our young men and woman.. I’m 62 years old and have been totally on my own and making my own way in this world for the last 46 years without help from anyone.or any organization or any government agency. The college experience & College football is a total waste in today’s world and today’s value system it teaches these young men and women nothing that will aid them in life and a false hope that they will play at a higher level. We gotta get back to teaching real life skills, morality, honesty, right from wrong, what a team really is and most of all learn how to respect and really listen to all points of view on the issues of the day and how to not hate a different opinion by a person but celebrate our right to freely have different views of the same issue but still respect and honor that person. Caiden should not play, not worth the risk, I’ve had serious back surgery, they thought I’d never walk against n . Took 7 months to recover. I can walk but need a cane for assistance to prevent falling and more damage ! I thank Jehovah every day thru his son Jesus that im not paralyzed.

Jason and his “cult followers” are funny! I do have sympathy for the young men because that’s their feelings and I can’t take away from that. HOWEVER: I listened to all and decided to point out a few things for the people with logical sense. From the kids mouth, CP did his intro speech with the team but got on a plane cuz he was still contract with JSU. Well that would answer why he wasn’t available for the first couple weeks. He may thought he would make it but couldn’t. Second, not only is he a coach but he also has a brand/business. He doesn’t have time to meet with each member of the team. You said all of your health news came in Jan. The man got there in Dec! He was already behind in recruiting and getting everything set up. I can see him not having time for it. Last, the kid said he started football at age 15, they didn’t teach him how to play but told him to just go after the ball. He admitted that prior to CP coming he struggled with the previous staff/coach due to his lack of coaching in HS. Now although he feels like he worked his butt off and got better, he was still farther behind his teammates. You need football IQ to be successful in the sport. When Hart cut him that was the reason why. I’m sorry but to trash his character because your careers didn’t work out is insane. The worst I heard from this interview is that you were not allowed to be on the sideline which came from Hart not Prime and he didn’t really speak to you on the elevator. Great response. Nothing they said really put blame on Coach Prime. Jason was definitely trying to paint that picture every time their answers didn’t focus on Coach Prime. What CEO talks to every employee? They have managers for that. It would be impossible for him to meet individually with every player, recruit, finish obligations at one school, change schools, move his entire family, go to doctors, possible medical procedures, continue his other business obligations, etc in less than 2 months. In addition, as a head coach that will have to do the job of cutting players as soon as he gets there, why would he start meeting parents? Again your comment was great.
My cousin plays at north Texas and has told me that he’s only talked with his head coach 1 TIME in 2 seasons, but he has a great relationship with his WR coach
This is sad, but true. I had no relationship with my head coach. I was cooler with the assistant coach and JV coaches because I was around them more often. The only time I spoke with head coach was when he was addressing the team as a whole.

I think that the best chance he's removed will be during the offseason. Listen for the whispers about him forcing out kids HE PICKED last year in the portal, as well as the behavior of "his guys" during this offseason when football isn't there to keep them in line. I believe CU still values it's reputation more than it's willing to give up to keep a shiny hood ornament that will be gone after next year anyway. And when it leaves, it will blame you for not giving it enough resources.

I haven’t watched the entire interview yet, I’m probably about halfway through, but right now if what these young men are saying are correct, the conclusion that I’m getting is that Deion is probably too much of a celebrity and personality to be a great head coach and leader of young men.

From what I’m seeing on Well off media videos and others I see Deion eating lunch or breakfast, getting massages, opening presents, selecting clothing, hawking clothes from the team storage, riding around on his bike or golf cart, taking flights to who knows where, dapping it up with his homies, walking into a team meeting to give a speech he didn’t prepare then he walks out. I don’t see him actually coaching and when he is on the practice field you can tell when he does interact it’s brief and only when the camera is on him. At best Deion is a great hype person but not a head coach.
I was a 3 year starter and couldn’t just get a meeting with our headcoach. Let alone a walk on. We got one garunteed one on one and that’s exit interview.
In my day pop Warner was the only league everyone made the team. After that you had to try out in high school & for whatever reason you didn't make the team you got cut. What am I missing?

You really can't blame Deion Sanders and reality TV for the mess in college football. Deion may be adding to the mess nowadays. College football has never really crowned a true national champion but only except in few instances. The transfer portal and NIL just added chaos. Today young people especially athletes are not held accountable for their actions. Players in the old days played for the love of the game and coaches held them to higher standards.

sheduer sanders before going to Colorado threw for 3700 yards and had 40TDs and only threw 8 picks. JT Shrout threw for 1200 yards with 7 TDs and 8 picks. So yea Sheduer was starting from day 1. This year he threw fro 3230 yds with 27TDs and 3 picks. JT Shrout was smart for leaving cus he would of never seen the field outside of practice

You had an amazing honest wholesome conversation with these fine young men. The way that you respected and encouraged the boys to tell their stories was commendable. I played at Colorado state some years back. I know guys who were absolute garbage players that didn’t get cut (somehow) but my HC was still very friendly and good to them when interacting with them

Caiden is my younger brother and i can tell you this story is true and the last year has been really hard on our family. Regardless of whether or not he should have been playing for Deion, you don't treat people (especially kids) like this. It sickens me and i am so happy to see my brother finally get his voice heard and get to provide accountability to such a horrible situation.

The college experience & College football is a total waste in today’s world and today’s value system it teaches these young men and women nothing that will aid them in life and a false hope that they will play at a higher level. We gotta get back to teaching real life skills, morality, honesty, right from wrong, what a team really is and most of all learn how to respect and really listen to all points of view on the issues of the day and how to not hate a different opinion by a person but celebrate our right to freely have different views of the same issue but still respect and honor that person. Jason and his “cult followers” are funny! I do have sympathy for the young men because that’s their feelings and I can’t take away from that. HOWEVER: I listened to all and decided to point out a few things for the people with logical sense. From the kids mouth, CP did his intro speech with the team but got on a plane cuz he was still contract with JSU. Well that would answer why he wasn’t available for the first couple weeks. He may thought he would make it but couldn’t. Second, not only is he a coach but he also has a brand/business. He doesn’t have time to meet with each member of the team. You said all of your health news came in Jan. The man got there in Dec! He was already behind in recruiting and getting everything set up. I can see him not having time for it. Last, the kid said he started football at age 15, they didn’t teach him how to play but told him to just go after the ball. He admitted that prior to CP coming he struggled with the previous staff/coach due to his lack of coaching in HS. Now although he feels like he worked his butt off and got better, he was still farther behind his teammates. You need football IQ to be successful in the sport. When Hart cut him that was the reason why. I’m sorry but to trash his character because your careers didn’t work out is insane. The worst I heard from this interview is that you were not allowed to be on the sideline which came from Hart not Prime and he didn’t really speak to you on the elevator. Great response. Nothing they said really put blame on Coach Prime. Jason was definitely trying to paint that picture every time their answers didn’t focus on Coach Prime. What CEO talks to every employee? They have managers for that. It would be impossible for him to meet individually with every player, recruit, finish obligations at one school, change schools, move his entire family, go to doctors, possible medical procedures, continue his other business obligations, etc in less than 2 months.
In addition, as a head coach that will have to do the job of cutting players as soon as he gets there, why would he start meeting parents?

This is sad, but true. I had no relationship with my head coach. I was cooler with the assistant coach and JV coaches because I was around them more often.

I haven’t watched the entire interview yet, I’m probably about halfway through, but right now if what these young men are saying are correct, the conclusion that I’m getting is that Deion is probably too much of a celebrity and personality to be a great head coach and leader of young men.
He ignored these men like they were groupies looking for autographs.

This sounds like two dudes that weren’t good enough to play for Deion. It’s a strange interview . He treated them like nfl players.
From what I’m seeing on Well off media videos and others I see Deion eating lunch or breakfast, getting massages, opening presents, selecting clothing, hawking clothes from the team storage, riding around on his bike or golf cart, taking flights to who knows where, dapping it up with his homies, walking into a team meeting to give a speech he didn’t prepare then he walks out. I don’t see him actually coaching and when he is on the practice field you can tell when he does interact it’s brief and only when the camera is on him. At best Deion is a great hype person but not a head coach.
Head coaches rarely coach. The position coaches do that. The headcoach oversees everything. He has to let his position coaches do their job.

In my day pop Warner was the only league everyone made the team. After that you had to try out in high school & for whatever reason you didn't make the team you got cut. What am I missing?

Investigative journalism would let you know that Eoghan Kerry had 2 tackles his entire career at Colorado, on a 1-11 football team that was the worst team in CFB. Is it possible that Prime was just extremely honest from the jump, and wanted to get rid of all of the pieces on the worst team in CFB? I don't get why everyone is so shocked by this.

You really can't blame Deion Sanders and reality TV for the mess in college football. Deion may be adding to the mess nowadays. College football has never really crowned a true national champion but only except in few instances. The transfer portal and NIL just added chaos. Today young people especially athletes are not held accountable for their actions. Players in the old days played for the love of the game and coaches held them to higher standards.

Wow ! Kudos to Whilock. The interview with these 2 young men blew me away. I enjoyed the fact that unlike many interviewers, Whitlock listens & lets them speak. Eye opening.
I agreee, I like Deion & I like Whitlock but I thought he was way too harsh on him. But really none of us is perfect. I'll say this though, I don't think Nick Saban is any better, heck he probably doesn't even attend the cut meetings. @@jaredgarrison333

sheduer sanders before going to Colorado threw for 3700 yards and had 40TDs and only threw 8 picks. JT Shrout threw for 1200 yards with 7 TDs and 8 picks. So yea Sheduer was starting from day 1. This year he threw fro 3230 yds with 27TDs and 3 picks. JT Shrout was smart for leaving cus he would of never seen the field outside of practice

You had an amazing honest wholesome conversation with these fine young men. The way that you respected and encouraged the boys to tell their stories was commendable. You showed how a coach is supposed to care for and nurture his players. I know you have made a difference in their lives and they appreciate you for it. You have a new subscriber my man!

I played at Colorado state some years back. I know guys who were absolute garbage players that didn’t get cut (somehow) but my HC was still very friendly and good to them when interacting with them
