I used to live next to that old line in Bradville, we called it the 'knobby line', no idea why, but it was a great place for us kids back in the day. Access to the canal, big side ditches to explore and play in, walk on towards Linford and cross the Iron Bridge (summer jumping fun!). There was a 'replica' train there for a while, for kids to play on, opposite the old platform, but ti was removed after a number of accidents I think.
Yes , I'm sorry to add to the chorus of objections to 'train station'. All my life they were 'railway stations', as I suspect they were since the 1830s, but in recent years I've had to get used to the dreaded Americanisation, but it still grates. Apart from that, an excellent post showing the decline and fall of one of our lost branch lines. Looking at my railway atlas I see it ran from Wolverton on what is now known as the West Coast Main Line to Newport Pagnell.
A look back at Bradwell's Train Station which many of us from Milton Keynes will now know it as part of M.K's red way system.
Awesome video!!😎👌
Thank you 😊

Appreciate that thank you 👍👍👍
Great Linford station, still there; is a little closer to Newport
@@ianb5949 cool 😎
It's called a railway station.
This is Milton Keynes
They used to be "railway stations" in this country until very recently. Oh well - hey ho!
Americanisation, or should that be Americanization?
*There used to be not they.
@@jamesbutler6253 The typo / spell checker gremlin strikes again. Well spotted and I doff my hat to your superior intellect!
You’re right, slap wrist on my part :(
Used to cycle down there sometimes on my way from work back in the 90s.
Memories, think most of us did over the years who lived in MK.
