Just additional info for safety. A cloth mask isn't protecting you against toxic fumes. Get an actual respirator if your resin says there are fumes. I don't know if that's the case for UV resin. Just starting looking into that. So far all said non-toxic. I know you said medical mask and I hope you mean one with a vent. But yeah if the fumes are an issue please get a respirator. I got one from 3M for working with spraypaint and agressive 2-part-resin and it's so worth it.
Hello! Thank you this is great information, I’m no longer working with resin because of this. I hope others who decide they want to use resin are using the proper safety precautions to protect themselves !! - pinning this comment so people can see!
Is it okay to use a KN95 mask with the non toxic UV resin? I recently got some DecorRom UV resin, it says nontoxic and I want to be as safe as possible when using it to make pins! I’ll be using latex gloves when handling the resin as well and I’ll be putting the clay pins on some cardboard to dry outside. Are there any more precautions I should take? Also can you use the resin to glue the pin backs onto the finished clay?
subscribed when u tell people about the PSA of resin fumes, lots of creator doesnt include that in their tutorials/ videos ! great creations! thanks for sharing!
I've been learning for over a year to make some stuff with clay i started with air dry clay and now i started with polymer clay i still have so much to learn and your video is very helpful and very calming and inspiring i love the pins a lot Thank you for making this video it's kind of you to share a lot of details and info ❤️
smart to make the clay stamp! 👏👏 i had a hard time keeping the dusts away when i shape the polymer clay and smooth them out 😂 i enjoyed watching your videos and i am glad to have found you on youtube 😊
ahh i love these pins! 🧡 thank you for showing that tin idea :D i’ve been working on pins to start up my etsy shop and the tin will help a lot with consistency 😊
Wow, what a journey 🥰 i felt soo cozy, and the vibes were hitting, and it felt like i was being mentored in the endeavor i want to learn (currently packaging my first pin design but struggling with the filming the process part 😅)
I simply loved it, it was so satisfying and calming. People like you deserve so many customers and viewers, and I am just living for the party frogs!!! small youtuber, by the way. And hope you make it big one day! 💕
Girl I am loving your videos!! I am opening my Etsy shop in September and will start making studio vlogs - I already make videos but so excited to make some studio vlogs!💛
this video is so timely!! lately, I've been so curious how clay pins are made-because I've been watching a lot of studio vlogs the past few days. 😂 so, thank you for sharing your process! 😊 I'll save this video for future purposes-in case I try to make my own clay pins too!! 💖also, the mushroom school buddies are so adorable o3o

Do you only resin the top and bottom but not the sides? Just curious because sealing the sides with resin in order for them to dry can be quite tricky.
I love this😂🥰🥰 also if you want a simpler way to roll out your clay check out Walmart kitchen section they have mini rolling pins for about three dollars I belive they’re silicon (it’s what I use) and the clay doesn’t stick 🥰
Love it!! I do ceramic but we're in lockdown this month (Melbourne, Australia) and the firing service place need to close during 6 weeks lockdown. I want to to try using Polymer Clay and found your video! Just subscribe your channel and I would go through your previous videos soon :)
they are so cuteee~ and that's a nice technique to use resin as coating ^w^ I'm curious if the resin'll turn yellowing if the pin get contacted with sunlight?
Ahh! Thank you so much for the tutorial, been thinking of making my own clay pins so this is so inspiring! Just wanted to ask: the oven that you used, is it the one you use for food as well or did you have to buy a separate one? Cause I've read some tutorials before it not being safe to use for utensils you use for food? (Gah, I hope this question made sense ;; )
I recently came across your channel and I absolutely enjoy your videos 🤩 I was wondering where did you get your backing card paper from or the card stock do you use ? Thank you 😊
How did you have the show you were watching on top of procreate? (probably a dumb question). Also, were you watching Criminal Minds? :D. thank you for the awesome tutorial, the fact you mentioned the weight of the clay helped me a lot. 🖤🖤
yeah im not a huge resin fan :(( at first i mixed the resin and glitter together in a separate container but then i found it easier to put the glitter directly in the resin bottle!!

polymer clay is super easy! hoping you are able to go back to ceramic soon (safely of course) 🥰❤️
Hi hun. You can use scissors. Tape and a plastic Coca-Cola bottle. Cut strips and stick and shape it for the clay. Xxxxx.

Hi! Yes, I just used the oven we use for food as long as you use parchment paper to cover your pans you should be fine with the sculpey clay!
Is it okay if I use das clay?
I recently came across your channel and I absolutely enjoy your videos 🤩 I was wondering where did you get your backing card paper from or the card stock do you use ? Thank you 😊
thank you!!! i use 100% cotton 110lb cardstock paper :-)

Where did you get your metal backings for your clay pins? I’ve been having a hard time looking for some. Also your pins came out really nice!! :)
you can find them on shopee
Is it compulsory to use resin? Can we skip?
What's the paper you used to print out the packing cards?
what kind of paper is that that you printed out for the pin backing?
It’s thick cardstock!
@@KatieMai thanks!!
What kind of clay you have?
Could you a tutorial on making backing cards
question, do u have to use resin to make it glossy/smooth? is there any other option?
yes there is. you can get a semi gloss spray and just spray the pins
Glossy mode podge. You can find it at Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, Michael's
Hey how did you stick the pin back?
