i found you recently and i completely feel in love with your works! they are always so cute! i kind of wonder, how much time it takes for your pots to dry before you first fire them? i love ceramics, i just cant understand the process 😅
it depends on the weather, when it is cold here, it takes up to 2-3 days to fully dry. In summer, it takes a day if i put them in the balcony to dry!
I’d love to know how necessary you think a kiln is (to not kitchen utensils) I’m really interested in trying to learn pottery by myself, but I have no access to a kiln right now and also can’t really buy one at the moment.

i have my kiln in my relatives' garage, i do the firing there : )
I need help with my clear gloss glaze. I don't know why when I fire it and there's some blare spot. So then I have to underglaze it and gloss it again.

i recommend earthenware since they require lower temp to fire than stoneware : )
Are there special colors, and are they placed in the oven after coloring?

amazing work 🥺 would you please be able to finally show a tour of your kiln? my city has been in lockdown since June and going on until mid-September, so I won’t be able to go out to get anything fired
i am not able to film a tour of my kiln for various reasons, since i have my kiln at my relatives' garage, privacy is one of the reason! sorry about it, there are quite a lot of kiln set up videos on youtube, hope you can find one that helps : )

hello Amii! For the studio tour/supplies video, I'd be really interested to see your setup! What Kiln do you have? and also what are your thoughts about having your own kiln/using a studio's kiln, as many say the electricity a kiln uses makes it more expensive to fire your own at home! Thank you! In love with your videos :D
I don't have my kiln at home and there are various reasons that I cant show the process. Since I have it in my relatives' garage, one of the reason is privacy. sorry that I could not film it! If you have a full understanding of how to use the kiln, the safety issues in your home and you determine that you are dedicating yourself to ceramics, then I would say go for the investment! But if not, I recommend using kilns in the public : )

yes i use the excess clay from making pots, i use plainsman stoneware!

I.E favourite paints and essential tools and possibly whether you would use “cheaper” products and if they compare to the higher end/ expensive/ branded products? I’d really like that and I’m sure a lot of your viewers would love that too. I don’t know if you’d want to do it via text in videos or if you’d want to speak.
