I grew up Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and our religion puts a great emphasis rest and it’s at the forefront of worship…Friday Sundown to Saturday sundown is the Sabbath. Until I got older I never really understood the importance of the day of rest. I’ve seen people work themselves to death or sickness or be so preoccupied with LIFE that they aren’t living. Sabbath also gives you that extra time to commune with God in case you fell short during the week. God knew the importance of rest for us as He showed us He rested the 7th day….we have the capacity to stress and over-do, over-work or just get too busy.

Me too! I'm 26 and I must say. I look forward for the Sabbath as I get to rest from work and the daily activities of life. You'll think at my age I'll be out "having a time of my life" but there's nothing like building a relationship with God, I find I'm at peace with him rather than the worldly thing. I'm happy God made the Sabbath for man and not man for the Sabbath. Big up Father God😊
SDA here as well. Testimony: I've almost never worked or done school work on the Sabbath and God always provides. As a nurse, I had to work during the Sabbath once or twice in my 9 year career and just gave my pay for those hours right back to Him. He's blessed me abundantly and now i don't work weekends and get off early on Fridays.

I am an Sda christian as well and I can honestly say I’ve never worked on the sabbath and for the last 13 years I’ve had a set schedule working from Sunday- Thursday…. Love your videos Jess, keep up the good work 🫶🏽👍🏾💪🏾❤
Your devotional is soooo right my Grandmother was a 7th Day Adventist and from Sunset on Friday til Sunset on Saturday we didn't do anything except church and eat she ain't play that. I am now 63 and do you know I still do what was taught to me, girl God knows you can always rest in him with a little self-care reset works wonders. See you next Vlog❤❤❤

I just purchased Jackie’s devotional can’t wait to read it. I definitely relate to the needing to rest. I’m constantly thinking of what I need to do next. Every time I just “rest” it feels like I’m being lazy or not being productive. I needed to hear this. It’s ok to rest. Rest and listen to God. Amen

Amen. I keep the seventh day Sabbath on Saturday from Friday night sundown until Saturday night sundown and focus on God, go to church, and etc. I usually watch your vlog as well. Hi Jess, I had multiple miscarries and now I found a new OBGYN who thinks it’s my fibroids that is cause all these losses. Now I have to do surgery to remove them. I am scared but I am trusting God will make a way for me after surgery. Whatever it is you are going through don’t give up on God because he won’t give up on you. Thanks for your vlogs always ❤️❤️❤️

I agree it’s probably overwhelming to get feedback on your health from the “Jessie’s” lol( ❤ thanx Jonathan!) While I am one of the many Jessie’s, I’m also an MD. I’m so proud of you and have been following you for a long while now. Make sure that your MDs are checking adrenal gland, thyroid, liver and GI issues. Basic CBC and Chem12 will not suffice. If not done yet, check cortisol levels, ACTH, TSH, free T4, LFTs, lipid profile, iron profile, B12 and Vit D levels. After that, if all OK, get GI eval done to include CT Abd/Pelvis and EGD. I’ll take my white coat off now and return to being a supportive Jessie Girl!😜
