The November Rain guitar actually used to belong to Joe Perry (one of his childhood guitar heroes) that Slash purchased in ‘88. Slash ended up returning it to Joe as a birthday gift.
And that guitar had the stock 59 gibson Pafs and not ducan pickups. So the current nonmember burst should have a more Paf like pickups rather than the Gibson knockoffs of the Slash Duncan's.
I have both, the November burst & the Vermilion burst. Very happy with them. I’ve always love tobacco Les Paul’s, and the November burst looks amazing.

I know im late to your post but i was wondering if you pulled the trigger on it? If not you should iv had mine for a year and cant put it down everything you play this guitar makes it sound badass the neck feels great it just feels amazing better than custom shops ive owned!!
I had a chance to get the anaconda burst and build it exactly how I wanted to, but as soon as I bought it my job has been shut down for months, and I couldn’t spend my unemployment on it, I’ll get one eventually, maybe it will still be there when I get everything back! Who knows. But hopefully!

great review of a great guitar, although i would like to point out you said they sound the exact same as the seymour duncans which is not true. They sound highly similar with the exception that the midrange clarity is actually worse than the seymour duncans, and there are multiple videos that showcase this. I am happy they sound good especially on a 3 thousand dollar guitar, but slightly disappointing that they shortcutted the pickups to save money.
The next time you do Slash tone videos, please try the Marshall Jubilee 2525. I'm curious to hear how it compares to the bigger head and if it can still nail that tone.
Funny enough, I dropped a deposit to order mine in locally. I brought in my 2019 R9 60th anniversary to compare necks between the 50's-60's and the Slash and I had the same feeling... the Slash felt more like my 59' versus the 50's Standard. Should be getting my NB in a week or so!!

Yea, I think it’s mainly getting the AAA versus the AA. Oh and the pickups are more like the Seymours. So not sure if that’s worth it. If I’m gonna spend this kind of money I’d spend another 500 just for the AAA.
I like the slash models… i just dont like the logo in the back of the neck… i like the signature but the behind logo me no like other than that dream guitar for sure
So the appetite is a replica of a replica... Gotcha. Apparently the Kris Derrig guitars had a few differences including the routing for pickups, which some may say will have an impact on the tone... Also interesting that I believe the original Derrig AFD had Seymour Duncan pups but these still have Gibson Burstbuckers. I'm not hating but if you really want a guitar like what was played on the AFD album... There's probably better options. Cool looking nonetheless.
Cheaper to just buy a Gibson LP Standard and just toss the A2pro's with a 50's wiring kit. That's all you need. Slash only played with his LP Standards live after 1988 anyway.

Have the anaconda. These slashbuckers Are brighter / crispier than slash alnicos. Got several lespauls with alnicos. They sound better imo.
Funny how there is no signature of Slash’s favourite Les Paul...the Derrig.
