      The ZX1000's have some crazy sleek lines, good look in themselves.
      These CCW bikes definitely have the right direction for looks, mostly why they sell - not really practical reasons! :)

      No, I do not have the Heist anymore, but enjoyed a handful of years on it. Always a blast, fun to cruise around town and commute to work on. Always got looks and compliments.
      As a first bike, it's a pretty decent choice - mostly because it's not overly expensive and lower weight and much lower seat height than nearly anything out there (w/ exception of hardtail custom builds from yesteryear). With the old school carburetor though, you will probably end up tinkering with it at times and if you start to change things up, be prepared to work on the gremlins that follow. Most normal stock routine maintenance is doable, for almost anyone to handle. Just have to be willing to jump in and do the work yourself, if you want to go that route or find a shop to help out. If you go for it, have fun and be safe! Any other questions, I'll gladly answer. I do have a write-up on this bike and the Ace (same exact engine), in case you're curious. I'm a little harsh about them, but they are motorcycles - they're fun no matter what, with or without mechanical/electrical issues that sometimes come with the riding world.

    I cut the exhaust I need a carb kit bad lol

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад

      Yeah, the carb definitely can be finicky, even with stock, so I'm sure it's giving you some trouble with cutting the exhaust down. Good luck!

      onemeaningsome I looked at getting the race carb but they told me they aren't making any right now so I'm gussied the jet kit will work?

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад

      The jet kit, *should* work... however, I would suggest calling them up and see what jetting they recommend for cut exhaust. The "Cleveland Motorcycles" shop, which is the same as the headquarters, you'd be getting it straight from them (which is the best option, because they have very specific jetting).

    Since the air is cooling the engine and not like in cars which fluid is the cooler.. doesn't it overheat?

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад +1

      Nope, doesn't produce enough heat to begin with. Plus it's got cooling fins to help dissipate, and then the air does the rest.

      onemeaningsome what is the max MPH/KPH on this bike ? i am thinking about buying it and i'm afraid that my weight which is 95 kg will cause some difficulties on this bike :/

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад

      The Ace could top out at 70-75mph, it does Not do well on the expressway. Wouldn't advise using the freeways unless it's only for 2-3 miles, they just can't keep up or safely traverse in that higher speed range.
      I'm a little above that weight, and I rode this (Ace) and my Heist with no issues, it carries us heavier folk, just fine.

      @@onemeaningsome3580 and Let's say, how is it going uphills ? for example mountains

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад

      Um... haha, we don't really have mountains in Michigan, at least none in South Eastern Michigan (mostly flat land or some rolling hills here and there, nothing to battle with on these bikes). I would have to say it would definitely struggle with too much incline at high speed/higher gearing (probably a big no - BUT, I couldn't say for certain... I do know of some people who went through the Blue Ridge Parkway and I'm assuming that's got to be hilly....)

    Is this the Kikker hard knock knock-off we've been hearing about?

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад +2

      CCW started back in 2009, and they've been making these since around 2011. Definitely not a knock off of that brand, but if it's a hardtail bobber, then - possibly alike.
      I would assume same value/performance/reliability between most these smaller company made bikes.

    Onemeaninsome, can this bike go 65mph on highway? Can it do 70mph?

    • @onemeaningsome3580
      @onemeaningsome3580  6 лет назад +2

      Yeah, it can pull off close to 80+, given the right shifting and wind conditions. It doesn't have any more power that high up in gearing, so any emergency lane changes or moves, won't be possible. These bikes are not meant for expressway, but they are complete fun at 45-60, no doubt.
