Almost 2 years ago I had an infection in my arm (I almost died, and I also almost lost my entire left arm). I was quite depressed because after a lot of recovery I could not work from what I always did (Woodworking with cnc machines). Then I decided to go back to repairing desktop computers like when I was younger, but there were already many people doing the same, I could not pay the medical bills. I started studying how to repair laptops, phones, tablets, etc, and I ended up coming to your channel. Thanks to you Sorin today I have a profitable job that I love. Thanks to your desire to share your knowledge today I can have a good life. Then for the third time THANK YOU SORIN!

You may not go "deep" on the repairs, but your depth of knowledge is astonishing and your techniques are terrific. I recently tried my first "glue sandwich" hinge repair and it is rock-solid. You are a blessing and a gift. Thank you for your efforts and I'm so happy to have you posting new videos!

Howdy from Idaho! I have to say Your videos always have so many tidbits of wisdom, not only to do with electronics but other things as well. I always watch your videos to the end because there are so many treasures to be had. I can’t tell you how much your videos have aided my troubleshooting abilities and my confidence. I’m a maintenance tech by trade and so I deal with anything from electronics to motors to valves and your method of troubleshooting has aided me greatly. Thank you, sir. You truly are a master and please keep making videos for us to enjoy and grow from.

In life like your channel I have found that simple, common sense and direct approach to repairing things is best. Your direct and logical approach to diagnosis and repairs are an art form on top of the electronic science. Your teaching style is the best because you explain things so a beginner can understand, follow and really fix things. Nice work. Thank you for your work and helping us.

Can't believe it. I fixed something electronic for the first time. I would never dream of taking shit apart....but as I was watching I was thinking I got them little tools in my coil build kit for vaping. I was always afraid to open things as I know my memory is really bad and I would not be able to put it back together... My problem was fixed by removing the little battery...thx man I appreciate it .

Thank you Sorin for all your hard work, you changed my way of troubleshooting, i recently took a HP DV6-6000 which was
dead i did as you did and traced it back to faulty mosfets in the drive stage for the vcore. I also changed the MAX17480G ic
and it started working normally PQ104 (fdms7692) was shorted same with some capacitors.
But Sorin do not feel bad if your not able to upload more "advanced" repairs as you mentioned before, your channel
is the best one on youtube. /Peter

Wow man, i can't believe we have so much in common :D now i'm 20 years old, and when i watch your videos i feel like i'm watching myself in future. Before 6-7 years i was intrested in sport bikes, but only could afford dirt bike, then i wanted to understand how engines work, after maybe year, i found Fl studio and started make music, had same experience with songs like you said :D you can check what i created in my youtube channel if you want. And now i`m studying computer science university, and i`m extremly intrested in understanding how electronics work. Your videos helps a lot, i had fixed a lot of stuff, but by luck like you said, now i`m starting to understand what is what(still had to destroy some motherboards with 19v on 3.3 rail, but thats how we learn) ;D I could write and write, there are so much to say what we have in common. So happy that i found your channel, keep doing what you doing! Best of luck! :)
P.S sorry for my english, i am from Lithuania ;)

Hi mate, instead of using hot glue I usually use super glue. Put a small schamfer on parts to be joined, put on some super glue and sprinkle baking powder on the glue and it goes hard as rock. Just repeat to build it up, hope you like this approach.

I used to do small repairs on the older electronics using similar methods with freeze spray also, but when the smaller smd components came out I gave up and thought it was too specialised. I found your channell by mistake and I'm back into fixing things rather than swapping out boards. I can find the faulty compontent, but I cant always find a replacement of tell what the component is.

Hi sir, another technique to find a short is by connecting your Power supply configured as 100mA and 1.5V, connected directly to your multimeter probes (same polarity), and your multimeter configured in millivolts reading. This is called 4 wire measurement and can be made with a lab power supply.
The closest the power leads are to the multimeter leads the better reading you'll have.

Maybe this is not a simple question on a childs toy made by vtech why would I be getting 5.5v nearly everywhere also both the + and - of the speaker output. But can't get a continuity between the usb port outer case to the battery negative input on the board? This would be a short? But to 5.5v not ground?

hi! i wanted to ask you. is it more preferable to do ''expensive'' repairs such as iphones touch ic etc.. where you can charge around 80 pounds than charging ports and screen replacements? in my town there are lots of stores doing ''easy'' repairs like touch panel replacements and the prices are very low. on the other hand iphone or mac repairs are expensive and few shops in greece can handle them. i believe that becoming an ''expert'' on one type of repair such as iphones gives you better money. whats your opinion?

Hi again..As your ffrom another country just thought id say im quarter Hungarian... my grampa escape from fascist in WW11 and land here in the uk.. anyway when you said if i dont have something to learn , im lost..That is exactly how i am...Iv got to keep learning.. Im an game designer by degree 2.1 and 3d artist but originally house dj way back in 87 88.. i started in fl studio . it was called fruityloops back then... i seen it progress from a drum machine to what it is now . a full D,A,W.. Now i use a diff program to create music..its called Ableton... for making music from other music and plugins, vst.s synths. reaktor and the likes its great. have a play with ableton...But fl studio has a great audio engine and great automation. you know how long it took me to learn the basics of music making...20 years...and i learnt to play guitar and play music... i thought i did not have to understand " music" to make it with something like FL but you do..learn an instrument and it will help you so much more... here ill show you my 3d work and my portrait work.. all hand made and painted in a computer with wacom stylus. Another thing, i wanted a rickenbacker guitar like my hero PAUL WELLER.. I could not afford 2 thousand pound so i made my own.. half way down my page you will see my diy ric.. mines the black one on the right the one on the left is a real one. 2 years it took me. as i have no money for parts so i buy 1 part every 2 weeks..lol... www.artstation.com/anthonyjones1 im 50 this august...time flys..when your buzy :)
