The time has finally come to find out just how much power this boosted Ford Godzilla engine will put down. It’s been said that the last 10% of the build is always 90% of the struggle and struggle we did. Between solving wiring issues with the @Dunehoon, burning up a brand new Gearstar transmission and having to replace it, and last minute head gasket and head stud replacements, this has been a hard fought battle to get to this point. In the end we were rewarded with a 4 digit wheel horsepower number… and we didn't even turn the boost up!

@@robertreynolds930 I like Suppy a lot but Hoonigan is obviously pinching pennies with keeping him on. That's why his regular contract wasn't renewed this year. Zac could barely even keep him in this video despite his wisecracking lest the viewers come to like him too much.

Zac is the ultimate “don’t talk about, be about it” guy. He gives 100 to everything he does and it makes great tv. Loved seeing supply on this episode and hope he’s around more in the future. This Tahoe’s gonna be nuts.

tbf, Garrett wasn't the first person to make big power with the 7.3 Godzilla. But he was the first to actually race it and find the limits. All the others before him were internet/Dyno chasers.
@@DirtyD07 No, Brian Wolf was the first to test the Godzilla, Not only A belt driven supercharger (Whipple) but also with a ProCharger. He is the first to ever hit 7's in Godzilla not fully tuned, Then you have Paul's Performance in his Cobra Jet with a Nitrous injected 7.3. Paul was blasting low 9's and finally hit a 8 second pass and that was with a stock 7.3 with the juice. Garrette was the first with twins to hit higher boost levels though.
@@garykarenmcgruther6386 that's for the correction. I missed where they actually raced that Whipple setup at I only remember seeing the engine pictures and Dyno on Facebook. I know Garrett meeting that they reached out to Brian about done things when they did the initial setup on McFlurry.
Don't recall the 7.3 CJ though, but that's cool.

The fact I've drifted a single turbo, 2016 mustang GT IRS converted, complete drift domestic front angle kit, 2v 1998 mustang gt for the past 5 years has caused me to completely forget how easy pushrod engines are to r&r a head gasket. I've only pushed 2 in 4 years of limiter, 24psi and e85 with stock head castings loaded with trick flow cams, comp 315lb valve springs, 2mm oversized stainless intake valves, 5mm oversized stainless exhaust valves. She makes 801 wheel on the stock but blueprinted and balanced to 10,000 rpm crank with eagle forged rods and weisco forged pistons. Stock block and displacement with partial deck closure and fire rings. I can run c16 and make 900 wheel easy it just makes the car undriveable. Its WAAAAAAY too much for the transmission too. I run a dc009 with a hardened straight cut gearset and a clutch masters twin disc. My grandpa and i machined my billet flywheel and adapter plate ourselves, he's a master, 52 year automotive machinist. She makes 60° of angle, weighs 2860 with me in it, and I run 315s out back. I live in reno Nevada. The car scene here is HUGE. Yet on track days there's not one car that can run my door. The thing is so fast when I have it hooked up. I normally just run my front wheels all the way around which are only 285s if I want to tandem. It still dusts off the homies 2j 325i like nothing and I can pull 4th gear everywhere so its an absurd smoke show.

You got the right idea about making power down load, a properly sized twin turbo setting with be easier to manage the boost down low, which in turn should give you more grunt down low. Zac, is this Tahoe a 4x4 ? I sure the hell hope so, cause there ain't no way that thing is planting 1500+ RWHP on that dusty strip lol.

Guess based off what we know now, this was filmed sometime ago. It's come out that Suppy and Grim no longer work there, and Vin has been behind the scenes and now no longer works at Hoonigan as well.
