3MM is the perfect thickness, in my opinion. I think some companies are still marketing towards 8 year old youtube fads. Overbuilt heavy blades with terrible edge geometry.
Brother knives are making practical KNIVES , they cut and slice yet are still thick enough to baton if need be.
I love the grind on that blade it looks excellent.
Brother is becoming a favorite brand on my list.
They are functional work horses

This one is only $30 bucks!!! Well worth it!!!
The thickness of the blade is thinner than that of the Offgrid knife, but it is easy to see that the same D2 with good heat treatment is so different.
This inexpensive Chinese made knife is way better. Can you believe it?!?
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery I find the quality and price of knives made in China today to be unbelievable. There are still some shoddy Chinese knives out there, but there are many manufacturers that could be the king of budget blades, such as Brother knives, Eafengrow, Sitivien, etc.

@@LegionTacticoolCutlery What an amazing find. It feels like a Mora Companion went to the gym and walked out wearing a bulletproof vest. Grind is even nicer in person, I think it's slightly hollow not saber which is a plus. Little handle heavy but not bad. The only negatives are that the sheath rides high on the belt and, as you mentioned, jumping cloud be placed a little more forward. Other than that, this is steal and my first Brother knife. Thank you again for showcasing this blade!
