Word on the street is that this ink is *_still_* in the process of drying 😅 I thought this was going to be boring blue but I agree with you, it is muted enough to be interesting indeed
I appreciate that you take the time to test/note the dry times because even though I am right-handed, I smudge ink all too often. So thank you! As for interesting inks, I still have Yama-Dori in my Sailor PGS and it is really growing on me. I was a bit too hasty in labelling it a boring blue
@@storge306 😊 You're very welcome! You should know, though, that per a very smart scientist on FPN, the going theory is that dry time is primarily based on a chemical reaction between the specific ink and the specific paper (surface). So when you use a different paper, the dry time can be completely different. (And it just now occurs to me that when dry times are the same on different papers - assuming all other variables are the same - it suggests the same chemicals were used in sizing the two papers - or at least the different chemicals have the same reaction with that ink... 🤔) Glad you're enjoying Yama-Dori - which looks decidedly *teal* to my eyes! 😄
I must admit that I love the journey of matching inks to pens to papers... I am having a tonne of fun experimenting* *most of the time; Sometimes I find myself reaching for my fave. combo (Sailor Pro-Gear Slim with P.W. Akkerman #24 Zuiderpark Blauw-Greon), because I know this combination is "perfect", especially when writing letters etc. And I save the experimenting for my personal journal.
@@storge306 Glad it's mostly fun! 😅 And yeah, nothing like your favorite combo to fall back on. Pilot VP, F with Akkerman #09 Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indigo is one of mine. Visconti London Fog, EF with Kyo No Oto Aonibi is fast becoming another. My Sailor PGS, F loves Diamine Salamander... And Robert Oster Bronze is perfect in my Wing Sung 601. Having "known goods" lets you relax in between experiments!
Thank you for another great review. Amid the plethora of inks, it is most pleasant to be reminded of some old favorites. I always look forward to your reviews.
Thanks for the review! I have so many blues but I am still intrigued by this ink. Love the quote, too! Thanks again!
😊 You're *most* welcome, *sail*cat9! 😉 It's just different enough from most blues to make it interesting.

😅 There are inks with longer dry times... And some of those are less interesting! 😁
