Some great tips here Grant. I think the most important thing is the timing of the leg drive with the racket in the trophy pose. This is where the greatest power ootential lies.
Great video about the serve. With the counter force motion you refer to how much tension should you feel in the core. I have been told the serve is all tension in the core in that an analogy I was given was to try to hold the racquet arm back for as long as possible. Although there should be no tension in the racquet arm and hand.
Hands down the best serve video I've seen. Just about ever serve I've seen previously all say hit up on the ball. How can you hit a 100 mph serve and get it inside the service box hitting up? Totally impossible.
I could tell you get good velo on your serve bro. Reason you hit a couple flat serve and they hit in the box and went straight to the fence. Back fence in most public court are about 20 feet away. I'm too cheap to get one of those pocket radars to measure velo so I know I'm serving good when the flat goes straight to the fence or sticks in the holes of the chain link. Then I pull the ball out with teenage pride. Lol if you were doing all the right techniques and your ball was a powder puff then I'd be like all that technique for no results. But you proved your top dog again bro.💯✔😎
Hi Grant was wondering your thoughts is the hardest thing to master in the serve the ball toss and the coordination of the knee bend with the contact point ? at least for me these are quite difficult. Sometimes its good yet not so good. Does this just take lots of rep's ?
Super helpful video! I have a question what was the contact point of the racket and the ball in your video. Was it on the top of the ball or a brushing line from 7 o'clock to 1 o'clock? Thank you!
Hi Grant...love the tip where OPELIKA starts leg drive from a lower position as from the trophy position I still drop racket head before leg drive...us that the pointer ftom functional tennis in your basket?...if so do a video on that product?...thanks
Fed drives the legs when racquet is at trophy position. Opelka drives the legs when racquet is much lower; just above waist level. Both are acceptable. A common error is to drive the legs when the racquet has already dropped behind the head; that is too late. If that is your error, you may want to exaggerate and start the leg drive from a much lower position, like Opelka. Because of your habit of driving up late, you will likely ending up driving the legs around trophy, like Fed, which is still within the acceptable range.
One of the best serve videos I’ve seen - the double racquet drill to groove the leg drive timing is awesome - thanks Grant !
WORLD CLASS COACHING
Awesome content and great positive energy. Thank you very much Grant ! (from France)
I like it when you give visual cues like facing your trunk to the back corner

Dope.. Hands down, Salute Grant🏆
Great lesson. You covered a lot of technique. Thanks! The biggest point for me was that the racket should be angled to maximize the pronation speed.
Great lesson!!! Your trick with two rackets helped me to understand how to drive my racked during serve. I finally get it.
Your energy!!! Ty!!!
Nice tips. Thank you
You are the namber one, your videos are fantastic, bye bye from Italy
