In the final stage (last drill) he's saying 'on edge' - but the student is opening the racquet face (waiter's tray style) every time as she throws the open strings towards the ball - it's not on edge.
Great lesson! Your emphasis on getting the edge of the racket during the drop in then out then up really helped me understand how to implement the correct motion.
Love your enthusiasm. Thank you. Been working on my serve for two years. Have broken down the serve into its components. Each change I make impacts other parts so putting it all together is a challenge but I’m determined and am getting there. I appreciate how you have broken down the parts of the serve. It confirms some of my thinking and adds some new wrinkles that I’m sure will help. I’m enthusiastic and think eventually I can get my 75 mph serve up into 90-100 mph following your instructions and practicing a lot! The serve and the return starts the points and so at 68 and now retired it’s about time to focus and these super important parts of the game. 😊
Your content is rock solid. To promote the elbow up I like to have my students toss and let elbow hit tennis ball. Then I like to have them hit the ball using the edge, make a game out of it.
Great instructions. But I think it might need more time for juniors to really get it? The girl is doing fantastic job, however I feel she still opened the wrist up?

One of the most difficult stroke issues to correct. But much easier to do it as a junior than an adult!

You do an amazing job with these videos.
The girl still has a slight waiter racket form at the end of learning session. She can further improve the serve form in front of a mirror.
GVH: Bella! Edge in, out, up (sweeping out and up and out again); maintaining positivity and enthusiasm
