If someone were to, they'd have to find new support cars and a new aux tender for her. Ohio Central owns the auxiliary tender and the support cars are now owned by the Friends of the 261
1. She would need a complete rebuild too 2. Liability costs and insurance went up a whole lot so it's gonna be a pain and hassle. 3. Would need a host railroad to run her on if they would accept it. Especially since Amtrak doesn't allow steam excursions. 4. A way to move her to a new restoration site 5. Months of planning and ways to raise the money for her. Just some of the things she'll need if someone were to restore her if MOT would allow it.
I appreciate the video...was there for all these excursions buuut... next time get your hands on a tripod if you plan on bootleg recording from your TV. It'll produce much better results 😉
