Various shots show Formula One driver Jim Clark in a Lotus Ford in the Grand Prix. Commentator says "Now he is dead, the Flying Scot who won more Grand Prix than any other driver".
We then see several shots of Henri Baigent working on a miniature model of the Lotus Ford, that was to be presented to Jim Clark to commemorate his Grand Prix victories. Every part of the model is made by hand - extremely detailed work.
The story ends with a L/S of Jim Clark driving along after winning a race, with the back of his car covered with flowers.
Note: there is a newspaper article on file about Henri and his work.

Reminds me of Andy Mathew’s model car work, which is perhaps the highest form of model race car craftsmanship in the world. Sadly, he no longer makes the cars, but I was lucky enough to inherit a lotus 49 from my grandfather. Truly a masterpiece. I’d love to track down more of Andy Mathew’s models!

It is astounding any of the drivers of that period lived ... the slaughter was astounding.
Fifteen drivers died in the 1950s; fourteen in the 1960s; twelve in the 1970s; four in the 1980s and two in the 1990s. That is unbelievable.
Having raced motorcycles since around age 6 and then for the next 5 decades ... There is no glory in people dying when racing ... It is horrible and disgusting. The 50's-60's-70-80's ... they _were not glory_ days.
