Ive been testing out mickey friendly face and going all out on maleficent dragon and surfer stitch. Gaston makes mickey come out turn 4 and maleficent dragon playable turn 5 (turn 4 if you used pluto) with the extra big bodies the shift queen of hearts becomes a good draw source by being able to attack multiple times and surviving also leads to big heals. And mickeys cost reduction is on his quest for 3 which is also awesome
I played with different options for Mufasa for a while. You need to play Pluto to be competitive, Pluto into Gaston/Doc is just too good. Or even better Pluto/Gothal and Rapunzel turn 3. It has a decent matchup against every deck except Bucky Discard (especially if you don't hit Rapunzel)
Ya that’s how I was running mine before this just wanted to try this set up which wasn’t bad. All my match ups were basically against the top 4 decks hahah
The ramp gaston is soooo underrated in this deck, he lets you play cards out way ahead of curve and lets you play with minimal ink. Plus he lets you play your surfer stitches out on turn 5 which is crazy. Not sold on big sisu outside of sapphire and 4 big Mulans is too many imo.
I’m currently testing some builds right now and Gaston is back on I was running Gaston as my normal characters I usually played along with Pluto and yes I agree with u on big sisu like I explained in the video it really didn’t do anything for me in the tournament and it wasn’t played really.

I was also trying to out and usin doc as well I liked him in terms of trying to gain lore more aggressively as well as ramping but right now just Gaston’s 2 ramp up is really good i might consider doc again if I wa tot try and build up and more aggressive lore build
@@LorcanaInkWeII its a tough decision but I also like the option of being able to play your 6 drops on turn 4 to get Medusa/Tremaine out early. Plus Gaston lets you do gothel + rapunzel on turn 4 which can be nice to play around steel killing your gothel before you get a chance to heal
This was just a completely different build than how I always ran it the big queens basically took super goofs spot. And I don’t run any of my normal ramp characters. Queen is super versatile on what u can use her for specially shifting cost is so cheap and she pairs well with mulans. Super goof is not bad at all. But it just didn’t have smoothness it had like my other build. But I’ll be trying out other things here in the next week getting ready for the set champs
I like the brawls vs fish hooks personally. Didn’t feel like I was getting enough value from the hooks, and with how much item hate there is now, I struggled to get them to work. Against anything other than emerald/steel I was usually inking them, and Aladdin would just out them quickly otherwise. I’d also run into the ramp characters just ramping each other out without making much headway towards anything else, and Pluto would get outed quickly. Definitely saw success, but would tend to struggle if I didn’t get a Rapunzel off early. I like what you have here with the Queen offering pressure and options early on.
@@ryans6676 giving ya my honest opinion both work well for me. I think it’s just variable of how the player wants to play it but as the meta evolved and players got better ya I felt the fishhooks started becoming to slow and the brawls and teeth’s were necessary there just to much little guys that can change the game to much if left unchecked right now.
Outpace them with more lore counts and save up the brawls and teeth’s for diablos. Punish them with big Mulan or hit em with board wipe. Bucky will always be a tough match up for a lot of decks period.
@@rylrcrowe this build I used for the tourney I didn’t put Pluto in but I’m currently testing Pluto’s and Gaston’s again because I like em to much in the deck. It feels slow without em only thing is uninkable counts does get up higher but so far I’m liking how it’s running
@@rylrcrowe as of right now 3 Pluto 4 Gaston I really want to fit a fourth Pluto it’s just hard to squeeze in I’m playin around with 4 drop tinker bell and hades as well taking then seeing what works better

Gaston is much needed, the queens I tried but didn’t really help cut them all. Small Pluto pretty good when you get it but not so great when you don’t

I personally use doc over Gaston. With doc you get lore and the ability together while with Gaston it's usually just the ability

Doc could be the way to go for next set though since that new rush/evasive Vanellope looks too good to not run but she's another uninkable =(
Did you find yourself missing the gaston's from your usual build? also gaston being able to reduce a shift cost is pretty sweet
Honestly yes! Haha I like the ramps so right now I’m testing the Pluto’s and Gaston’s back in.
Excited to try out the updated list! Noticed you removed Goofy too. Thoughts on how he was performing vs what you added?
This was just a completely different build than how I always ran it the big queens basically took super goofs spot. And I don’t run any of my normal ramp characters. Queen is super versatile on what u can use her for specially shifting cost is so cheap and she pairs well with mulans. Super goof is not bad at all.
