Arduino Bluetooth Robot with Compass Controlled Steering

  • This is the larger robot I am working on. I have removed the GPS module which allowed me to greatly simplify the Arduino code. This robot could easily be modified to be a bluetooth controlled robotic lawnmower. The steering is controlled by a compass, once the heading is entered via Bluetooth from the Android phone, the robot maintains that heading until a different command is sent.

    How did this mower work out? Does it cut well? Does it cut the lawn every week?

      I never intended to use it for a lawnmower, the intent was to use it as a platform for metal detecting, but the frame is just too heavy to move from one location to another. Check my latest video if you want to see the first test of the metal detecting robot.

      Stephen Campbell I built it, it's mostly made of aluminum square tubing that is bolted together.
