I loved this show the only thing I felt where it fell flat was the relationships. You have a group of people that are under the constant threat of horrible death, there is NO way they would be slow walking things. This is one reason the general was one of my fav characters. She found what she want and went after it.
The most annoying thing is that they based this anime on a manga that's NOT EVEN FINISHED YET. I'm pretty sure Tatsumi doesn't die in the manga though and i'm not sure about Mein
