      I won’t go on hikes by myself or work out in an empty gym. PVCs really effect quality of life. I just sent my MD an email about trying a beta blocker. Frustrating trying to figure this out.

    Hi all, I'm a Registered nurse (31 years now with cardiac experience) and I too am having PVC's. I'm 62 now. I recall PVC's starting in my 30's but only happening rarely, increasing little by little over the years. Once in my 30's I had ventricular trigeminy while working in the ICU. I got dizzy but it stopped. Man that scared me. I think anxiety definitely plays a role, but for me I have low thyroiditis caused by an autoimmune disease called Hashimotos. I think I also have a gastro cardiac connection and a low vagus nerve tone. Possibly a histamine sensitivity involved. None of these things can be detected by the standard tests cardiologists do which is why I'm done with cardiology. I'm not going to go into debt while they do their expensive tests which will determine nothing! I would suggest to others what has helped me: lose weight, avoid foods that make your heart race, get mild exercise if you can tolerate it, get sunshine without the cancer causing chemicals, eat vitamin d foods (I'm on ketovore), try to get enough sleep, eat enough salt (my sodium is low normal) get enough electrolytes (just the right amount not too much or too little) and work on your breathing when the PVC's start. I've found that deliberate breathing helps sometimes. Pray. I won't charge one red cent for that advice. Hope it helps. Check with your own PCP about these things before implementing them. I'm not a doctor but I know what it's like to go through this.

    I've had the same problem for awhile now. I'm 47 and had a fixation on my heart for 25 years. Having a health anxiety can be a huge factor in having PAC/PVC. Your heart is apparently not the culprit. I can see in your video how distressed you are, the mind controls the body. Getting active, going for walks, relaxing and reminding yourself that your heart is ok, and it's been tested more than most peoples hearts ever have. Remind yourself you have a clean bill of health on your heart. Losing weight, walking, eating better and relaxing will do wonders for you. Just taking from my personal experience with these for years. And for me the anxiety, a hiatal hernia/feed and walking and losing weight made the difference. Hope this helps you, as you said you are not alone.

    I’m always scared! And I feel you. I live with PVC’s and I feel everything you’re saying. I hate leaving the ER/Doctors/Cardiologist knowing that it’s just going to happen again. I know something’s wrong with me. But I’m tired of going to the ER just for them to say “You’re fine, come back if symptoms get worse”. But honestly, watching your videos calms me down a lot! I just want to be normal again, and not always thinking “I’m going to die”. There has to be a cure… medications are the worse for me.

      I feel your pain I’ve been to the ER so many times due to PVCs I get into this bygimeny rhythm , and then I’ll go into trigeminy then I’ll get them like every 15 to 20 beats then it’ll go back to normal sometimes for 30 minutes or more and then I start getting that little rhythms again , it’s ruining my life I’m miserable
      Sucks !!! 😫

    Just found your series, this is the 2nd I'm watching (living with PVCs was the first) and I'll be watching all you've posted. The first 20 seconds of this monologue brought me to tears (and I don't cry often). I've been dealing with these feelings (and PVCs) for the last few months, and its awful. Nobody has ever explained things as straight forward and honest as you just have, and the people I've confided in give me the 'you're a hypochondriac' treatment, which doesn't help. Thank you so much for making these videos. I've felt so all alone and been hard on myself (buying in to the hypo commentary) and it really, REALLY helps to know I'm not alone and this experience (and the feelings) are not just me being a whackadoodle. I'm really sorry you and others go through this. It sucks, I know.
    Congrats on the weight loss and dietary changes - that's really impressive. I'm working on that now and it's tough to change habits (especially when we're in the latter part of our 4th decade!). Kudos, and again - heartfelt (pun intended) thanks for these videos.

      Just wanted to post an update a year later. Stress was my main trigger for my heart going wonky. Continually living in the “fight or flight” mode. Since I took on a new position in my job where I can manage my stress levels, my irregular heart beats have become more manageable and less frequent. Not saying stress is a trigger for everyone, but it was mine! Fingers crossed!

    I have been thru all of this, in the long run I evolved into Afib. I just had a cardiac ablation for the Afib it has fixed everything no more crazy heart beats. I am pretty sure you can have an ablation for the Issues your having.. It was done in the hospital spent one overnight. It was not bad at all well worth it check it out with your Cardiologist.It started at 30 years old I'm now 66 don't suffer as long as I did..

    • @kellymyers3215
      @kellymyers3215 2 года назад +1

      Hi! I get the odd one or two every day. When I’m going through a ‘flare up’ I get pvcs every other beat in bigeminy, this can last for 30 seconds but feels like forever! I normally can get about 15/20 minutes of relief before the next wave! With me now I barely get isolate pvc’s they are almost always in bigeminal pattern but it’s enough to send a warm course of adrenaline throughout my body and put me into a state of alarm every single time. When I’m going through a ‘flare up’ they can wake me from sleep and have me awake most the night - they’re the worst!

    • @DH-dh2nj
      @DH-dh2nj 2 года назад

      @@kellymyers3215 me too , i’m going through the same thing it’s horrible ,
      I’ve been taking some antibiotics the last two days to get some dental work done next week and I think the antibiotics has caused mine to flare up , but I’m not 100% sure but that’s the only thing that’s really changed .

    • @kellymyers3215
      @kellymyers3215 2 года назад +1

      I’m so sorry to read this but remember they will pass and no harm has come to you yet! It sucks having to ride the wave when you are stuck in the midst of it all not really knowing when you’re going to get back to ‘normal’ but mindset and also acceptance is so important. They really wreak havoc on my mental health when I have reoccurring episodes consistently over the course of days/weeks, I’ve noticed the worse my mind is the worse I feel the sensations are and how my body reacts to them and how I feel about them. Sending you lots of love!

      Michael:
      Sleep issues have been linked to increases in PVCs. Dr. Gupta talks of one patient who was having thousands, and they were able to cut them drastically once they found he had sleep apnea and was put on CPAP. Check out his videos; I'm not sure which one it was.
      I'm doing pretty good right now! Thanks for asking. My PVCs are under control. Yes, I still have occasional flare-ups but they are pretty good.

But the funny thing is I actually feel most comfortable while I am running and I don’t feel any PVC. I only feel it when I am at rest. Anyway, I guess not much I can do but I will try to make some lifestyle changes, such as less caffine.

    Certainly there are something dont working as expected. The heart have a circuit and on some place it have a fail. Bad conduction or bad isolation. The medics need to discover how to fix that.
    I still have a lot of PVC (sometimes one for each 50 pulsations).
    Obviously my heart have a damaged circuit on some place.
    The question is how to repair that.

    The problem you are circling in the video is that increased PVC's overlap with real deadly issues, some which develop over time with your risk factors, and so if you have "benign" ones it makes it impossible to differentiate a real issue happening, and thus your logical mind tells you to be extra vigilant. Logical anxiety. Logical anxiety is the worst kind of anxiety, because if your intelligent, you cant stop being anxious about those things because its rational to be worried about them.
