I don't know how much effort you put into scripting these but to me it's worth every moment. I've only recently taken ACC seriously and these lap guides have been invaluable for tracks I'm unfamiliar with. The target times are always a realistic target and great for letting me know when I'm clearly losing time on a track. I haven't driven a lap of Kyalami yet so seeking your guide was my first port of call. 😎
That's awesome to hear, thanks Rob! It was a long time ago now but my method was simply to do about 30-60 minutes of driving and analyse/communicate the info I was taking in about the circuit. Everyone has a different way of thinking when it comes to explaining, and indeed learning a circuit, and I am glad these work so well for you. Best of luck with your racing and thanks for the support! :)
Thanks so much for this guide. With taking your pointers and a lot of laps, finally got into the 1:42’s! And the bonus is that I live very close to the actual Kayalmi track 🤘🏼
Ditto - clawing below 46 is hard… 😅 I’m lingering around there too but just hit a 45 with that Audi. Once. I think my issue is over-slowing, like braking at the right place but then holding it longer than in the vid. So prob not coasting enough or trusting the car to grip up through those apexes… (apexi? api? midcornerses…)
@@norwaynachos1044 nice time! yeah acc kinda abraded my interest and I took a year off but the last update actually fixed things on xbox and I'm back in. Dunno if that's the case for you, but it's finally coming round if you're curious. Happy racing (whatever shape that takes:)
I just got off ACC practicing for a competition server race. Managed to get a 1m 46.3 and was thrilled! Came here to find another 3 or 4 tenths for a race winning 1m 45. 😂😂😂😂😂 Back to the drawing board.
All these track guides are great and absolutely love them.. One advise though. Please enable the speedometer or hide both steering wheel and hand when doing these as all the cars have different gearing.. Looking at the speed of enter, apex and exit would really help.
Appreciate the comment! Future track guide of the American track pack DLC had the hud, and future guides will too. Glad you enjoyed regardless, best of luck with your racing!😊
@@TraxionGGooo also can u do a guide with the Ferrari challenge Evo specifically.. That cars a death trap and not many guides or information on how to tame the beasts understeering ways.. Thanks bro..
Damn I was happy with 1:43 in the Bentley. Guess I need to find another 2.5 seconds but I'm definitely taking sunset wrong coasting vs breaking a bit and I struggle with the up the hill hard breaking left. I cam definitely gain a second there once I learn to take it better.
You absolutely don't need a 1:41.5 to race online around here, 1:43.5 is already a good laptime in LFM rookie races. I think that's already around 104-105% of the in race lap record which by all means is a very solid pace.
Thanks very much! To be honest it would be tricky to remember which version specifically, the laps were filmed before Imola, the 2020 AMG and the 2020 Ferrari 488 were released so a while ago now. Really difficult to tell exactly how the bop would now affect things so I wouldn’t worry too much about the last bits of lap time. 😊 Temperatures would have been reasonably cool, probably somewhere between 15 and 20c and it was done on hotlap mode (on pc) with low fuel and warm tyres in a good pressure range… All helps the times!
@@JohnMunroRacing cheers buddy. Just creating a setup on Xbox myself but I always like to see how fast you pc guys can do. Kyalami used to be quicker on Xbox but not now. I had a video of me hitting a 1.38.900 in cool temps but I’m struggling to get into the 1.40s now.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 I think I saw that video too! A 38.9 on console, and I have never seen anybody get close…. Was an incredible lap! Good luck with your racing.👍🏼
As always brilliant guide man. its easier said than done tho, unless you from area 51 or play the triangle in bermuda.... ,its the most simulated fun youll have with your pants on, thats if you chose to wear them in the first place. just started playing acc myself, kylami and oulton are serious tracks, best tracks on any sim. it all clicked for me in the last minute of your vid, the autistic can understand alien, just not racing simulator physics,..... apparently.

Great to hear it!
An absolutely brilliant guide, as usual! I did my first ever 20 laps before watching and got a 1:45.5. I must say this track is absolutely phenomenal.
Played this track for about 2 hours and managed to get a 1.46 and thought that was good, but now i have to gain 6 seconds

Amazing stuff. I am learning a lot from your guides. Some direction on setups will be helpful for car and track

Love cockpit view myself
Great video John, thank you
Can't wait for the Spa track guide
Love this track. Had a ball learning it last night in the Porsche. Only doing 1:45s but I can see where the time can be made up now! Cheers!👍
Honestly not far off with that time! I’ve heard others say it’s a blast in the Porsche, will need to give it a go some day 😊
And you are welcome!

many thanks from Brazil ! cheers!!

Not a bad time at all, low 40's really require the perfect conditions so it sounds like you aren't far away! 🙂
took me about 30mins to get low 43s without ever having heard of this track
Mega!
So I have to take off 5 seconds...

If you race split one in Rookies in lfm pole sitters are on a 1.40.8 minimum so you for sure need a 1.41.5
"Crocodile" could refer to "smiles like a crocodile", meaning sinister corner
Just wondering what version of the game you’re running here and what track temps are during your sub 40 lap. Great video bud 👍🏼

Wtf. I'm so slow. 1.45 in same car as you used. I'm taking the lines. Doesn't feel like I can go any faster
