- whats up y'all, i got another DIY service video for you guys. the dsg fluid seems complicated at first, but its actually pretty easy. as long as you've got all the tool necessary, you should be set to go. standard service time frame should be 40k miles. i would recommend 30-35k if you are tuned. save $300-400 in labor and diy at home!

This method seems much easier than filling from bottom.
I like this b/c it's done at home with jackstands. I hadn't seen the "top fill" method before. Hope it's a good one.
Great video! I really was about to pay 500$ for it get it changed, but now I'm more confident I can do it myself!
Thank you! It’s pretty simple, just takes some time. Worth the extra hundreds you save on labor in my opinion!
Seen your post on the EQT Group, Quoted $350 and up looks like i'm doing it myself.. Thanks for the video!! My GTI and the wifes GLI are both due. About to save a lot of monies! Subbed
thanks for the sub! and glad the video was able to help ya out. dealership also quoted me 450-600 so it’s nice to know a decent chunk of money was saved 🤣
Great vid!!! This helped a lot!
Great video, looking forward to future R content
thank you, appreciate the support!
Great video! What helps speed up the process. Leave the DSG oil bottles out in the sun to “warm” them up. That way it isn’t as thick. Killer video!
Good job buddy
Nice video.
Do you know what’s the reference of your DSG please (dq…) ?
Also, I believe you have golf 7 R right ?
I don’t have a way to tell the temp of my gearbox, how long do i need to wait so i know 100% that it’s warm enough to swap gears through?
Are you filling in the same amount of fluid as when draining?
very good video
thanks!!
nice video bro really thinking about doing mine now 👍🏻. quick question just to make sure once its drained i can put both bottom plugs back in. and just start putting the dsg fluid (5 quartz )thru the top again ? and that would be it basically right ? no need to leave the last bolt out so it could drain like i seen other people do or anything ?
thank you man! & yup you should be good to go. if this is your first dsg flush, fluid should be around 4.6-.7 quarts. that measuring funnel helped a ton, def recommend that!
nick vu preciate the comment back man. definitely would be trying this soon thanks for saving me a shit ton of $$ 🤣🤣
@@nickvu5429 You mean liters, right?
@@markhohmeister7273 to be honest bottom is easier yes its liters*
Do you know the part # for the crush washer?
Is this 4.7l with wet or dry filter?
Where did you get the tool to measure the transmission temp? I want to do the DSG on my wife’s TDI.
OBD11 from shopDAP!
Can you suck it up from the top with a oil extrator, like someone would with the engine oil sort of method.
yup! lots of people run the schwaben oil extractors and they work great! thinking of picking on up myself for a no lift oil change. would be a nice change.
Hi mate, nice info VDO ;-) One question: what if the oil temp is not correct? I mean, what if is hotter or colder? What I have to do for both cases?
thanks! it’s fine if it’s hotter, you just need it minimum at operating temp. if it’s colder let it run till warm enough
Like the top fill better.
Im having a hard time in trying to get the right DSG fluid. The dealer tried to sell me some sort of purple colored fluid. But they have the one you used in your video and telling me its the wrong one. Help me out
they are called the stealership for a reason. unless you have warranty still i would take what they say with a grain of salt.
@@nickvu5429 Stealership, lols i supposed thers Pirates on those ships then? 😄
I just bought the same car with 60k miles. Previous owner didnt do the trans oil change, should i change it? or just keep it as is?
change it forsure in order to avoid future problems
@@nickvu5429 i'm planning to do it. but the service time says 40k but now i'm almost hitting 60k, just afraid to touch it and cause problems.
@@OsamahAlrasheedi any update on that flush on the trans at 60 k

@@hatchhafied4056 unfortunately sold the car as is
no way you stuck that straight back in when dropping it on the ground. There is zero chance you didnt get some sheet in the oil doing that.
Does the work with the 2015 vw cc sport 2.0?
if you have the dq250 DSG transmission, which i believe you should on the cc, then it’ll work!
nick vu thanks brotha! Sorry for bugging but do you know where I’d be able to find that info?
I’ll figure it out bro thanks for the help it’s pretty much a glorified oil change lol 🙏🏻 clean setup btw I’m stage 2 uni
thanks bro! i checked for you and you do have the DSG. should be the DQ250 as it’s a 6 speed too. shoot me a follow on instagram @nicks7r! always had a soft spot for the ccs🤤
that overfill plug is supposed to be very loose
A 15/16 socket will work as well on the filter.
Great. Add music so we can't hear the torque.
Me watching this as my tools get mutilated by this fluid. At least its not traditional gear oil which smells like dookie

Dude, just get your hands dirty!
