Does anyone remember the Key Cove Motel that was right on the end at the pump house? We used to stay there as kids. I learned to snorkel and Tank dive in that inlet walking out around the North Jetty.
Is there any access at all for the south jetty? I drove around there and all i saw were "poor people get the hell out" signs lol. I bet diving and fishing is amazing since nobody really uses it.
I wanna check this spot out but I hear parking is a hassle. Shame how people always wanna keep stuff for themselves when everybody in florida pays taxes to maintain state property.
Place got cleaned out over 40 years ago.water clarity used to be perfect back then, now it,s cloudy as hell.snook and snapper were thick as fleas back then, and big ones.right wing developers have totally fucked up this entire state.along with big sugar.i left there in 80.
I’m amazed it was this clear , very few fish of course . I left in 72 . My dad used to spearfish in government cut in Miami in mid 1950s it was at least this clear from his description
dixee6 I would assume “inlet” means pipes that are sucking in water. Differential pressure can suck you into a pipe underwater and you can drown or be crushed. I’ll leave a link below showing how dangerous differential pressure is.
texaslonghorns2222 thank you for the link. Well...I guess watching that just dashed my hopes of wanting to go there and snorkel in the clear water...sigh...
worst walk in the world from that stupid parking lot a mile away.even worse of a walk when you know that they're catching fish and you cant get there quick enough or it's full of every Jamaican,Haitian, and Antiguan in florida.cool video though
common jones thanks for the negative review. This very video was what made me wanna come to Palm Beach to see this place. But not after what I'm seeing now :/
@@2010frankieg nobody likes to be around a bunch of people when they're fishing a spot or diving and you know it is a little disheartening when you've lived in Florida your whole life born and raised and go to some of your old favorite fishing spots and it's jam-packed full of illegals and tourists nevery other Foreigner invading our beautiful state and making it worse

Sorry that was before my time..
Where can you park in order to get there? Also, have you seen any lionfish there?
Where can you park though?
at the public beach and walk about 1/3 mile back south. Drop the gear with your buddy.
Thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling here. What is the second song playing during this video?
Mike Rieck Thanks! Sorry I forget..
Darude - Sandstorm
You have to park about a third of a mile north in public parking. I bring a bicycle.
No lionfish that I remember.
whatandwhen2 park at the fire station

What's the song name?
sorry don't remember.
That snook hidey hole was amazing. They're super rare here in Texas.
Thanks, we sometimes see many of them in the inlet and on wrecks about 25-50 miles north of us.
Great video what was the band/name of the first track??

Why were you hiding from da PoPo?
are u allowed to snorkel an inlet or is it illegal?
It is legal there, but you need a flag and to be careful.
Whatandwhen2 be careful of what? Cops? Sharks? Rapists? The Boogeyman? What do we need to be careful of?
