Brings back many memories I dove it frequently in the 80's. I believe when people ask about diving the west side. I think they are usually referring to the mainland side of the bridge, Thanks for the video, enjoyable. Nice job
Interesting point. Actually, entry on the western shore has been prohibited for many years and constant boat traffic there is a good reason to stay out. On an average day, one may see boats transiting that zone without interruption. We know of some divers who accept the risk, usually guarding their activities against public (and police) observation. More commonly, divers tend to focus on access off the island on which Phil Foster Park dominates, so west and east spans have more particular connotations. It is easy to understand confusion, however.
@@BeachDiver Even back in my day people were not foolish enough to dive the mainland side. But, I would get questions about it when Phil Foster park was busy. Which I am sure is nothing compared to today. Since diving there has gotten so much attention in recent years. The bridges up in Jupiter are great dives also.
Thank you soo much. My husband and I just moved from Michigan to Delray Beach to scuba dive. I was a little apprehensive since I am a lake diver. But my fears just went away and I can not WAIT!!
Great video. Especially enjoyed learning some of the history, like how the motor boat got there and the species you named like the goldfaced toby. It is a wonderful place to visit with new creatures to experience nearly every time I go. thank you.
Nice job of helping people know where to go at BHB. A couple of notes, though. Scorpion fish and Fireworms are not poisonous, they are venomous. Very big difference! Also, why are you handling the wildlife and their habitat? Look but don't touch should always be the rule (and is the law in many places). Otherwise, again... nice work!
Dove the east span today. Too cloudy & current too strong to make 4 good diving today. Went right b4 high tide & stayed an hour after. Tide was really strong.
What you hear is the exhalation, which takes 2-3 seconds. You only hear a moment of the slow, steady inhalation, which takes 3-5 seconds. No breath hold occurring in this video. Thanks for noticing, though.

I am hoping to dive BHB bridge very soon. This video was a big help! Thanks!
Is this dive beyond the usual snorkel park, sunken boats and shopping carts?
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Does this area have a lionfish problem nowadays?

Ed P water column should clear up soon
@@BeachDiver I hope so. Thanks. Why so cloudy tho? Never was like this last year & the year b4.
@@edp5409 Some construction and dredging nearby have complicated visibility issues.
how do you get the boats from running on top of ya
Great informative video. Anyway you could show the route of google map?
Helped me out so much. Thanks!
Is either me or this person holds his air for 2-4 seconds before exhaling?
