Received my shipment, for anyone wondering if it’s safe to use with Hobbymaster’s or any other pre-painted diecast models, it WILL remove the paint so use at your own risk (tested this myself). As for what the product is intended for, it works AMAZINGLY. The best glue debonder I’ve used yet.
Thanks a lot for your feedback regarding diecast models! Chris
Love this stuff. I'm sure I bought everything you make 🤣🤣 this is an amazing tool that's a must for any modeler. Cleans up with no trouble at all. Only one item you need to make and that's a wick to we can soak up ca glue off some of my VERY small parts. I use paper towels rolled tightly but sometimes they fall apart onto the build. That when I have to start over with your debonder.🤣🤣 larger parts no problems.
Thanks Clayton, far too kind! 🤗
Looks like a miracle product
Thanks, glad you like it. 😀
Just purchased this from Canada! Does it remove any paint as well? Will be using it on a Hobbymaster Diecast model in which I had to use super-glue but accidentally got it all over the model... I don't want it ruining the paint either (although the model came pre-paint so it was applied very well)!
Hello Justin, Yes this is a solvent and may attack paint. Chris
Good is the product available online for purchase ???
Sure: www.vms-supplies.com/product-page/vms-glue-remove-ca-debonder-30-ml
Does it not seep under the PE and weaken the bond?
Hello, good question! No, as the debonder works needs to have access to whole surface of the glue, there is not enough surface for it to properly attack the glue trapped between the parts. It would take hours for the debonder to penetrate within and break the bond.
@@Vmssupplies Good to hear, thanks
Hello, I accidentally glued an action figure Joint, can this product help me? also, does it damage paint?
Hello, Answer to both questions is yes. Chris
you know any product that removes super glue without damaging the paintjob?@@Vmssupplies
if its dropped to a clear part that got foggy will remove that fog also?
It should work, at least to an extent, depending on the damage. Rest of the fog can be removed by polishing if the debonder alone is not enough. Chris
Wipe the foggy area with baby oil and wipe excess off
Will it work on super glue on Yellow brass trumpet? Does it have any damage on brass? 😢
Yes, it will work fine, product doesn't affect metals. 😃
Can I use this in fabrics?
Yes, it will dissolve the glue on any substrate, but make a test on a less visible fabric part 1st as there is plenty of fabrics out there and one should just check if problems such as discoloration are not an issue. I'd say the chance is 75% for it to be OK but still worth bearing in mind a test is advised.
@@Vmssupplies thank you very much!
Would this be safe on ABS plastic?
The product reacts with ABS, I do not recommend use. Chris
@@Vmssupplies thanks
Can this product be used on metal miniatures?
Sure, metal minis are compatible. Chris
Is this safe to use on painted surfaces?
Hello on tough paint possibly, on weak not so much. It depends on type of paint, age of it, age of the glue layer and so on. It's a 50% chance. Chris
Does it work on clear canopy parts?
Yes, no problem. Chris
can this work with gunpla?
Hi, this works on polystyrene, metal, resin so it's important that your models is made of one of these materials. Gunpla is probably made of polystyrene like 99% of models so it will work. :)
Will this stuff remove Loctite Control gel from a clear plastic windshield without melting the clear styrene?
Hello, Product attacks all CA (super; cyanaocrylate) glues and doesn't attack styrene also the clear variety. Depending on how aggressive the Loctite product is there may be a stain left (crazing) where the glue was after you remove it which may require polishing to get rid of. Chris
I think that it must have thing for all modellers.
Thanks a lot! Chris
good
Thanks!
