Starlink V3 - DIY Starlink Carrying Case and Storage Bag

- After scouring the internet for a storage case for our new Starlink V3 with the kickstand, and not wanting to spend upwards of $300 on a backpack with foam inserts, I decided to make our own Starlink carrying bag. This DIY video is instructional, but also a little trial and error.
I am by no means a professional seamstress. I can sew a few straight lines and make simple items. I used 1 yard canvas material, 1 1/2 yards flannel material, NuFoam batting for the insert, 7/8" double-fold bias tape, 1 yard of webbing material for the handle, 6" of 1" velcro, and matching sewing thread. I walk you through the steps I took to make a canvas carrying tote for our Starlink Version 3.
Please let me know if you've made something similar or tried this project yourself.

Awesome idea. I’m busy pulling fabric to make one now. It’ll be scrappy
Thank you! Oh, using scrap fabric is a great idea!
Great job! I was thinking of doing something similar but had no idea how to begin. Thanks for sharing your idea. I think it looks perfect.
Thank you very much!!! Hope it helps you with your project.
This is so great! I have been looking for a pattern for this for a while and I'm so glad I kept looking.
One quick question since you say you're a novice: Are you backstitching at the start and end of every pass? Maybe you are, and just didn't share it, but that can make a big difference on how long your stitching lasts!
Either way, thanks so much for sharing - this is guaranteed to save me a lot of time! 💖👏🎉
Thank you very much!!! I’m glad this was helpful.
Yes, I do backstitch. I just don’t have a serger and don’t make complex projects. Straight lines are my friend - dog blankets, curtains, that kind of stuff.
@@CajunMile Yes ma'am! I've made fancier stuf but to be honest, I prefer things that just need to be "ok" / functional😂 Thanks again!
