Thanks Carla I wanted to be a librarian too, I miss the days of library tickets and card systems I bet kids today wouldn’t believe pre computerised systems. Losing my sight means I can’t read print now and boy do I miss real books. Have you seen the film “keeping mum”? Worth a watch. 💕

Thanks for taking time out of your holiday to do this vlog.
If I was religious, I’d be in a Terry Pratchett cult 😂 I’m 47 and discovered him while I was in junior school (so some time ago now) and his work has been my happy place ever since. Whenever things are rough I binge read his books, so probably do the whole canon about once a year 😅
I’m currently listening to the audiobooks so I can get some sewing done whilst in my safety zone.
And Georgette Heyer is another fave. I may be buried with my TP and GH library 😁

I have that toxic trait too. And even with things I could do, I buy the materials and then never “have the time” to do them 🤦🏼♀️ (Yup there’s a reason for the quotes).

Hi Carla 👋 I have had to diet throughout my life since 16 now, 62, and always put the weight back on plus more, but from 50, the energy and drive have left me. To tell you the truth full of arthritis and people don't seem to get it, but pain is a big factor as you don't move as much as you like depression becomes a part of your life. But for people like you who keep me 😂 as your wit has no end . What l am trying to say as I look forward to seeing you. Thanks for that.

I worked in a library in the 80's. Back then we checked out books on microfilm with the book a numbered card and the person 's library card in the one picture. Then we recorded the #s for each day. As books were returned we filed the #d cards in order. Then on a date 6 weeks later we checked the #d cards. If any were missing we forwarded the microfilm reader to that spot, read the name and called them. Easy peasy. I did a lot of shelf reading. Making sure the books were in order. And filing newspaper clippings. I hated that, but it was way before the internet. And yes there was something awe inspiring about walking abroad your first cruise ship. Mine happened to be Oasis of the Seas when she was the newest Royal ship. Wow.

I feel your enthusiasm for books through your vlogs . Browne issue was the name of the ticket system and most who used it remember it fondly . Those were the days xx

Hi, I have found that I have become unmasked in my menopause years to reveal my ADHD, and truth be told I recognise you as one of us! I enjoy crafty videos and see a lot of neurodivergence as there seems to be a high percentage people with it who are crafty. I went through a few of my subscriptions and did a Yes No… because it seemed like fun at the time, and I had you down as a yes. Traits that I see would be Talking fast, making fun of yourself, clumsiness, finding it hard to stick to things, demand avoidance, procrastination, general wacky sense of humour, rejection sensitivity. I would guess that you put things down and they vanish quite often, joint issues from over extending and probably losing track of what you were going to say half way through a sentence. If this IS you then you are definitely my kind of people 🤣 regardless of whether it’s ADHD, Autism or Bipolar and I urge you to check out as many ADHD memes as humanly possible as you may find that you are more ADHD ‘Normal’ than you thought possible and it’ll give you a great laugh. Ohh do you happen to text several bits of a conversation to someone in separate texts too? Like ‘Hi, just wondering how you were’ … ‘cuz I fancied a pub lunch’ … ‘Feel like roasties’. … ‘Down the Nags Head?’ 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I also lose interest in certain crafts-books-people quickly. While it may be associated with ADHD,
I look at it as me being quite self-aware and knowing early on that THIS isn’t how my time/ energy needs to be spent.
I am also nosey in a good way.
My neighbours find any info out about you and they cause so much drama 😢
Would you camp out alone in the woods for the night in exchange for a place on the cruise you are dreaming about?
