Back in 2020, I started learning piano on my own, a few months later, i found out a family friend was a piano teacher, so i gave her a visit. She played this song for me when i showed up, and I was in awe. Ever since, I've loved this song more and more. Than you for covering it!
@@dontyeetapig6378 Styx is obviously good. If it wasn't the piano iterations would never have existed. I just think proper piano play elevates the song. I think (for me) it's because you still hear the lyrics of the chorus but at the same time have your own idea about what what it's about and make it more personal to you. It's kinda when I listen to non-Dutch or English songs that I kinda understand, but not totally. I just fill in the gaps in thought. Latest example of this is Kana-boon's Silhouette. I thought it was about individualism and ignoring the Silhouettes in live. But when I looked it up, it was about that one should value those Silhouettes that helped you to become the individual that you are.
I am guessing you are a classically trained artist. Truly masterful playing! If I could play like you I would spend the money for a piano that sounds like yours. Thank you for the beautiful and inspiring video.
