Hey there, 👋 This is my first dive into Diablo 4 Lore and I'd love your feedback! Please comment your thoughts and suggestions below. Your input will help improve future videos, so don't hold back!
@@NyxVellum Haha wise words my man i wish you all the best in your journey. keep up the path you're walking so far and i suspect your channel will be set in stone haha :P for real ..Great video
I really love the artwork. Makes it so much easier for me to understand the characters. Using the shorts from the game and lore in the Diablo books is also a huge help. I love your videos. Been watching them back to back for a couple days now.. and loving every second of them! Thank you. Your voice is also a treat. The pitch, tone, emphasis and subtleties of, "that's you" is a huge help in understanding where my role was, as the player. Love these videos!!
Your editing style is so great for my lack of focus, you keep me from dazing off into space or clicking off, so I think you are doing fantastic! I didn't think you were a new channel because of it!
Btw the name of the guy (the black one) in the first cinematic of Diablo IV is Curator Symon. There's a quest in Diablo IV where you follow the leads of their camp and how he met Elias (before his transformation in the cinematic) that promised him knowledge.
@@NyxVellum It's in the last area - Hawezar. If i remember correctly you get the side quest from a priest in Zarbinzet. I absolutely loved it, cause the quest takes you through some cool places. I'll just leave it at that, so to not spoil to much.
@@NyxVellumu also learned that rathma sent a necromancer to try and stop Elias, because what he was doing would upset the balance, but Elias manage to defeat him. So rathma knew what he was doing
This video is amazing, but the one thing I still don't understand is why did Lilith and Inarius have to hide sanctuary away from The Gays of Heaven and Hell? Was Inarius just a homophobe or what?
You have another subscriber! Your videos are so well put together. Also your voice! You are so soothing andvrelaxing to listen to! In fact, maybe a bit too much lol. Listening to you is so relaxing....I actually dozed off quite a few times during your videos. Normally one might take that as a bad thing, but really it isn't. You voice is just that relaxing. I don't m8nd that I had to replay a video or 3 because they are that good. And the killer naps were just a bonus!
I know it's almost 2 months since you released it but I just found your channel and I want to praise you for your work and encourage you to keep going. I have subscribed and within the next week I will watch all your lore videos and I hope there are plenty more to come.
Hi Daniel, thank you for your comment. I wrote this script before the game released and we hadn't heard about the Prime Evils being major players in D4 at that time. I hope that clears things up. Thank you again.
Honestly, this is the BEST video I have found on the storyline… your voice, pace, details, everything was perfection! I hope you blow up because it deserve it!! I shared the video with a friend of mine too… this is a great explanation of the story. I’m in at 5, but this gave me so much of a greater understanding of what’s going on.
Have to say, the format and writing of diablo 4 made me forget about the boring diablo 3, and come back to the lore from diablo 1 and 2 that I love Great video and thank you for making it
Thank you for watching the video, it means a lot. It's true that a lot of the lore of Diablo 4 has a Diablo 1 and 2 feel to it, which is very exciting for the future.
Diablo 4 good story did we play the same game? Inarius was insufferable, Lillith only last minute tried to force you into her pawn. Mephisto only gain your alliance because you needed his help. D3 story was mainly about betrayl and finding you been a tool the whole time. Both stories werent that good the game play is what matters anyways. And imperius was cool.
@@tbone9474 to each their own. I think d4 is good game but story and lorath was disappointing and all youre memoriable characters fucking die. Our bud from d2 dies, donnan die, yurin dies, our knight pertinent buddy dies. The chick runs off with a shard and doesnt wanna be followed. And lorath is like whatever who cares she has a greater evil with her. Deckard wouldve been like fuck her feelings lets chase. The neph wouldve chased. Tyreal wouldve chased. The heros of d2 woudlve chased. Cant allow mephisto to be with a little girl.
That's true! BUT, in the 'Diablo 4 | Inside the Game: A New Saga' video posted by Blizzard in May, they mention that 'half of the population was exterminated'. As the official video was the latest information on the matter, I went with that. I hope that clears things up for you, and thank you for watching my video Brandon.
@@marloncebo242 lol the Fandom is bigger because of diablo 3. Might of gotten rid of the worst type of fans. The toxic ones. Diablo 3 had more sales then diablo 2. And i grew up playing diablo 1 and 2. I enjoyed diablo 3. Just like i enjoy diablo 4.
What happens in 4 now. Is the entire universe beholden to the whims of angels and demons? Was my diablo 3 character and descendant of rathma? Is our d4 character a super human? Or just blessed my lilith and mephisto directly? I hope these question dont bother great vid.
Sooo Nephyllum = Humans Sanctuary = World Lilith = Satan (The Prince/Princess of This World John 12:31) (After the Fall) Inarius = Lucifer (Before the Fall)
After playing the game I felt like I couldn’t care about anyone. Leah I actually cared about but Neyrelle is so insufferable it’s like “yeah can someone kill her off so I can go on with the story without all the dialogue please?” Lorath was a shit person to be with half the time. The writing was weak as hell. Inarius was absolutely wasted. You got no more reason why he does what he does. A story going on about how much he suffered in Hell and his relationship with Lilith via flashbacks would have been good. Lilith doesn’t really show the player how exactly she loves her children other than saying “yeah my children are psychos. It’s funny to watch them isn’t it?” You’re left thinking “if this is what Lilith wants then I don’t just need to do her in I think Malthael was actually vindicated in his reasons for wanting humanity dead.
I dove into these hard, downloaded all I could see so I could listen to them while in the farraday cage of a plant I work in. And it's...just *almost* right. I'm offering constructive criticism here, but you NEED to double check the pronunciation of some words - I don't know if you just never heard them before or if you're not a native English speaker, but it's simply jarring. Annals pronounced "anals" and enclave mispronounced are just two examples. I'm not giving up - but these little things just rob you of a narration that could have sounded professional. My two cents. If you don't want to (or maybe can't) spend time double-checking the phonetic spelling of some words, then just invest in an AI voice program. As it stands, these are a solid 10/10 on the background research (like saying "this is you in Diablo 2" was such a great idea to point out), and 9/10 on background images/video, but 6/10 on delivery due to above. I'll remain subscribed and thumbs-up the video, for what it's worth, since you've done so well otherwise. =)
"what if le good...was le bad?" is not deep, the male cast was treated as bumbling, prideful, ignorant, lustful, one was straight up executed for lying by big strong female prava. neyrelle, plucky young prodigy that recites horadric spells and casts necromancy without effort, and becomes the chosen one. there's probably a female lead writer self-insert behind her.
Thanks for the comment Pierre! It's true that Diablo has a lot of clicking, but I find that clicking a lot more fun when I know the backstories and lore of the universe I'm playing in. To each their own, right? ☺️
