I’m kinda disappointed- Sonic CD and Sonic 3 were both level texture reskins. Hydrocity in particular felt really lazy, there are still a bunch of things the creator forgot to reskin.
That Hilltop Zone mod is pretty cool! .... too bad it's sandwiched by two (kinda ugly) stage reskins and a mostly-okay port of SA2's Green Hill into SA1. There's at least some object tweaks in the Palmtree Panic one, but none of them seem to be changes I'd say are for the better.
the hill top remake looks so neat to me. a little disappointing to see that palmtree panic and hydrocity are just recolors of emerald coast and lost world, theyre good levels but i just wish there were mods that did completely original level design. still a fun vid tho, love the classic sonic models

Loved how dynamic & diverse HydroCity map traverse is. it has a little bit of high speed labyrinth acrobatics in all mixed like Socket. Great work, is this a demo?

The level design is already in Sonic Adventure as the Mystic Ruins stage. They only used a texture swap mod to make it look like the Hydrocity Zone from Sonic 3. It does look pretty cool with those textures.
Palmtree Panic is the most inaccurate here (mostly because it's just reskin of first level from Adventure, while others at least a bit more accurate to originals.
At least the other stages have changed textures and in Palmtree Panic’s case, it also changed the level design a little bit so you can’t really qualify this as clickbait. You don’t like the video? Well, I really don’t care.

Shame that most of these are just reskins or ports of other levels, but that Hill Top Zone remake looks great! I'd love to see more levels like that.
