I remember the first time I unlocked super sonic in Sonic 2 and I didn't even know the transformation existed. I was so confused but excited. This was before I had the internet so I couldn't ask anyone what the hell had just happened. That was a magical moment in my gaming history. The music that came with it was epic.
Adventure 1 &2, 06, and Unleashed had such epic fate-of-the-world type of final boss that just made turning into Super Sonic much more epic and the newer games just completely lack it.
I mean Sonic Forces did it, with the Phantom Ruby inside a huge robot Sonic Mania did it as well, with the secret final boss Generations did it with Time Eater So you are kinda wrong

Super Sonic really is the product of Sonic’s need to act. Sonic is usually happy go lucky, without even a single worry. But when he needs to really get serious, and end a problem right there, he must rely on his golden form, brimming with chaotic power and drive to do what must be done. It’s the opposite of sonic. Instead of a quippy and cocky guy that loves to prolong a fight and have fun, Super Sonic is silent, has a serious stare, and uses all his power to create change.
Speaking of seriousness, another thing I like about it is that in Sonic 2 when you usually go on the edge of a platform as regular sonic, his arms are flailing and his face is super obnoxious looking. But when you're on the edge while super sonic, he just keeps his arms crossed, tip toes over the edge and straight serious faced.
In Adventure it was vital as Sonic was strong, but had limitations. The golden form was needed just to take out something big, but Sonic has gotten stronger over the past 30 years that he could take on Perfect Chaos with his newly found power that creates a burst of energy to boost him at high speeds or give his ball form a powerful sharp edge. Sonic is a strong character that hardly needs the emeralds anymore, if he finds he does need all seven again, then Sonic will have to take on truly the most powerful threat yet.

I love how sonic shuffle has Super Sonic as a separate entity from Sonic. Reminds me of Adventure, when his friends didnt refer to him as "Sonic", but as "Super Sonic", which makes me believe that Super is a separate person
U gotta admit sonic 06’s fully cgi rendered cutscenes are downright beautiful. I think they look the best then any other cutscenes in any other sonic game.

IDW's metal virus saga had a God tier finale as well. Almost everything from Modern Sonic's main games was used in that story, there are so many things they could've messed up, but thankfully... they only messed one thing, but hey! They even managed to make the Deadly Six interesting! A channel called the game apologist have a narration of the whole thing, give it a watch if you got some time to spare.

That transformation is Sonic's answer to Dragonball's Super Saiyan. Bit of a shame the original Sonic game doesn't had this due to SIX Chaos Emeralds rather than 7. And, they should bring Hyper Sonic back.

Ah yes, the elusive Super Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). Not many know this but if you beat every level with 69 rings, a giant ring will be revealed after the final boss where you can collect the seventh chaos emerald and unlock Super Sonic. This is why 1991 is in the title.

Took itself abit to serloisly with its moral at the end but the other stuff was fine a bit to much trying to be detective pikachu some times when it should have tried to be a fully comedic film with less if the Half backed dumb moral i do think it was enjoyable just ntosomthing I'd like to wacth Over and overlike detective pikachu I made a review for it which did reference detective pikachu a bunch but that's becuase it clearly is trying to be detective pikachu but just doesn't pull it off detective pikachu had so much more work and heart in it I feel the ,Ovid was fun but the moral was half assed and the two fake deaths where lame I mena the last one that was fine but the first one was lame the second one was besicly amdatory. Lanre Akerele needs to wait till at least the 3rd movie. Hopefully metal sonic is in the next one. If they do super sonic early it will pretty much guarantee there wont be a need for a 3rd movie.
