Without the prints it would not make sense to take pictures. Thanks for your words. It’s such an reward to hold the pictures in the hands after going out and taking pictures.
Thank you!! I agree that printing is a crucial part of the whole process. I love holding the prints in hand.
Those b&w prints where great! You showed them a little too fast to enjoy :) I also like to keep the printer active and that gives you the extra push to keep it consistent. Well done! Thanks for sharing.
Good point Kris! I need to spend more time showing the prints in detail. I'll do another video where I do that. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Agree! I’ve started printing 6x4 too….for the reasons you say….hey from the UK!
Hey Jonathan! That's great! I love hearing from other photographers who can relate to this stuff. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your feedback!
I love printing 4×6 and gifting them to people. All people who receives it get happy and love that emotion in their faces.
By the way, I love the music you use in the intro is so quiet and calm...
I just read your post after I posted mine. We seem to be on the same page...
Agreed! People love receiving prints! And thank you for the compliment on the music! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Like you I use an Epson P700 and print lots of B&W of street scenes on 6" x 4" Marrutt Pro Photo Sati/Oyster - it helps keep my "photo mojo" alive! I like to use Epson's Print Layout software to get things "just so".
Hey Roger! I'll have to try out that paper that you use. Thanks for watching and commenting!! I'm a little behind on responding to these. But I appreciate your support!
I agree Craig! I am a big fan of the 4x6 prints, also monochrome with a white border. And I find that gifting them to family and friends is so much more rewarding than sharing them online. It is becoming more and more uncommon for people to hold a physical photo in their hand, especially those under the age of 30. Maybe that's why they seem to enjoy them so much. What's the old saying, "If it's not printed, it's not a photo."
I do some printing at home on my Canon mg8120 (nothing special) but mostly use the service ProDPI (big fan).
Great video and photos. Thanks...
Hey Michael! Thanks for the feedback! Hopefully printing becomes more of a norm. It’s such a wonderful part of the photographic journey. I appreciate your support! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have gotten in the habit of carrying an instax printer. It's great. For street stuff you can give someone a photo if you want to right in the moment. I noticed that when watching street photogs, we never get to see the results. So I thought I would change that.
That’s super cool! Great idea!
Just received another order of photo paper yesterday. Most enjoyable to make prints and view them. Also a lot of fun.👍👍
Awesome! Which photo paper did you order?
@@CraigBergonzoni Hello Craig. I have been using Canon paper for years and know what I am getting when I print, so I continue to use it. Been doing some vacation prints for myself and some of my family. Mostly 5x7 and 4x6 this go around. Have a great day.
I like printing too but damn it's hard finding printer ink these days.
Great point! That is a tough reality we're facing. I should revisit this topic and talk about some of that stuff. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
Excellent and timely video as I've been printing my own Christmas cards/postcards for years. 4X6 prints are the perfect size for holding and viewing. Question: when you have a square image, how do you print it? 4x4? Or 4x6 and just add white border around it?
Hey Russ, when I have a square image I've just been leaving it on the 4x6 paper as is. Once I get a nice paper cutter I might make small square prints as well. As of right now I print the square image centered on the 4x6 sheet (I just center the 4x4 in the EPSON printing software)
I tried some 5x7 B/W prints from Mpix and was super happy with them. Made real old school photo albums. Are your small prints precut paper or are you printing out multiples on a sheet and cutting them?
That's awesome! For my small prints, I'm printing on precut 4x6 or 5x7 paper. For my 4x6 prints I'm using paper from FinestraArt and for my 5x7 prints I'm using ILFORD paper. For my larger prints I love paper from Hahnemühle.
Hi guys. Interested in printing my photos. What printers do everyone use?
Hey Justin! What’s your budget? Also are you printing mostly Color or B&W or both?
Epson P700 is great!
