    So, I dunno if anyone else here has had this, but my chemicals have to be contaminated from the source I got them from (Amazon) I used distilled water and added it into each of the bottles, I use separate eye-droppers to measure out part A and part B, never using the "A" eye dropper in the "B" mixture and vice-versa, yet, when I add B to the little puddle of A in the mixing dish, it instantly turns deep blue. As a result, my exposures don't turn out right. Anyone else have similar?

      You’ll need to invert it before printing, and then you can print it out on normal printer paper and use a tissue to wipe cooking oil over the back of the print- let it dry and it’ll be transparent :)

    Hi Mathieu! Your work, what you do here is an amazing work... You helped a lot with inspiring me (and I'm sure that you inspired all of your followers in vintage photography). What do you think? If I make some 35mm paper pieces and put some beetroot juice on them then put them in my old cmeha camera and I put it to bulb mode and shoot a couple of weeks exposure with those little beetroot papers, would it work? Or this method only works for printing exposures?😃

    • @MathieuStern
      @MathieuStern 3 года назад +1

      IT should work, but we are speaking about weeks, and weeks, because it's winter.
      Also the beetroot will maybe start to loos pigments faster than the image will appear.
      and in the end you will have a negative.
      i would advise to do the same experiment but with cyanotype instead, it will work in days and not weeks.

    Bonjour Mathieu, ne sachant pas à quel point le liquide de préparation du papier est toxique ni s'il se dilue beaucoup dans le mélange de rinçage eau / vinaigre, je me demandais si on pouvait simplement vider ce mélange de rinçage dans l'évier ou si on devait le déposer en déchetterie ?

    • @MathieuStern
      @MathieuStern 2 года назад +1

      Salut Estelle, aucun soucis, le cyanotype n'est pas toxique si tu ne le l'ingèrere pas, il faut hésiter d'en avoir sur la peau, mais c'est plus a cause des taches que de la toxicité, tu peu vider le reste dans l'évier sans trop de stresse, si tu en as beaucoup a jeter alors tu peux l'apporter a un endroit qui gère les produits chimique, mais on parle de jeter plusieurs litres a la fois.

      You can buy SPEEDBALL brand transparent sheets..like clear plastic paper. You can put them in a printer and print images on them. OR you can actually take a real film negative from like a 35mm camera.. scan it and then enlarge it and print it on to the transparent sheets. But you should be able yo print anything you want from the internet etc onto the transparent sheets and use those. It helps if you are using leaves or stuff like that to put a piece of glass over top of it if you are foung it outside in the sun..so it won't blow away. You can use paper, fabric like canvas of a t-shirt. Just experiment.

    • @MathieuStern

      le peroxyde c'est juste si t veux accélérer le process d'assombrissement , mais si tu laisse ton print quelques heures a l'air libre il fera pareil et ça sera moins violent.
