Sasha's Emfire releases have a deep complex beauty to them that I find hard to describe. I was already into varieties of House when this was released. But in retrospect I find myself enjoying this track more then I did then. This isn't a track I'd want to mix with anything. But just something I like to appreciate on it's own. An introspective gem for sure.
I'm amazed by Sasha's sheer skill range over the years. He's done trance, progressive house, breaks, IDM, minimal, tech house, trip hop, ambient and more. And excelled at them all
could be one of the best, but simmer down there, Sparky! Lots of others as well. not the best for sure. listen some more. try The Sky Was Pink (Holden Remix) for a change. just one of many.
I can't believe I have been listening to trance for decades and this is the first I've heard this song. I thought I had heard everything Sasha, so glad there is more to discover
@AbovePerfect it takes time to appreciate this type of music. there are several layers & levels of music. pop music is level 1, where u can like it on the 1st listen. level 2 is more underground indie stuff, which becomes likeable easily, but just isnt heard by a lot of people. level 3 is more obscure and talented works. Then level 4 is like Led Zeppelin. & level 5 is moreso comprised of the more minimal areas of the electronic genres. this is what this is. i used to be like you. then i grew up
Los matices audibles son sintonía no le falta, no le sobra, no encaja con cualquier género musical, no obstante puedo morir en velocidad utilizando este beat en el clímax. ¡Y nada, seré feliz!
Sensibility is a changing value... But over very subjective. I love this very special song... MInimal can inspire you as much other styles just depend on your taste.
@Tester2244 Minimal techno is thought to have been originally developed in the early 1990s by Detroit based producers Robert Hood and Daniel Bell, although what is currently referred to as 'minimal' has largely been developed in Germany during the 2000s,
Michael Douglas did you hear the version of ‘Magic’ on John Digweed’s essential mix from 1994? Never released. Find the mix here on YT. It comes in at 30minutes. A beautiful piece of music.
I bought this on vinyl and was kind of vaguely disappointed when I first listened to it. It's a decent track, but it doesn't *really* go to somewhere that amazing. Music is so subjective :) Anyway check out - Sasha "Mr. Tiddles" - a track I personally consider brilliant.
@metseler30 there's also a lot of progressive in this track, lot of minimal too, but it's undeniable that the big matrix here is the progressive one...
sasha!!i must think on hycienda, your old skunk,if you can tell a story in a languiche that cals house ,whitout speaking one word, than you are a realy masterpiece.sasha is the best
@abelton2007 Yeah I know, but what i really hate is, that most of modern productions at minimal go mostly for effects. They think that if they master making 4 to the floor beat and some envelopes with filters that its ok. It lost its quality, same as trance. Its some shit distorted synth :'( For example if you know UMEK the legendary slovenian detroid techno artist that went to minimal and destroyed him self :) I mean his production is still A+ but just somehow his music lacks emotion nowdays.
@IMKENSHAW it is aquired taste i started off listening to really loud electro and cant even listen to it for 2 seconds anymore, minimal tech and progressive is where its at, you have to listen to production of a song not the loudest drop
what is progressive music? Is it raindrops inching slowly down a window pane as the sun comes out? But wait! The clouds are gathering again, and the beat is causing the rain drop to throb, it is alive.

Its called applying a ton of saturation :D
The secret is named "Charlie May"
I'm amazed by Sasha's sheer skill range over the years. He's done trance, progressive house, breaks, IDM, minimal, tech house, trip hop, ambient and more. And excelled at them all
Skill is temporary, class is permanent 👍
When did he do trance? And tech house?
this track is THE BEST EVER MADE, you honestly hear sparky dying and reviving and dying again......soooooooooooooooooo gooooooooodddddd!!
could be one of the best, but simmer down there, Sparky! Lots of others as well. not the best for sure. listen some more.
try The Sky Was Pink (Holden Remix) for a change. just one of many.

Sasha's tribute to James Holden.

Sasha just released a new track for free on his website .. and it is called
Sasha - SparkyLives :) and it is good
@AbovePerfect and also classical music fits this mold. some stuff are pop and others are not so easy to enjoy out of the box
this track is really amazing !!

@mariustatu this is minimal... and progressive

@IMKENSHAW Not true. In fact Richie hawtin is the one who made minimal, and its only good minimal dj. Minimal is just bad coke on scene ;)
After all these years...
It's great to understand that all creatures are alive, fish killers would understand when they become 🐟
I wonder what this track was named after, if he had a pet named sparky then sad, poor guy
Trance addict ^^
