Having watched the entire series many times, I still think Stephanie was the best match for Leonard of all the women he dated (probably because that would be my choice), Stephanie is very attractive, is an intellectual match for Leonard, but demonstrates kindness, tolerance and empathy well beyond that of any other character that he dated. Of course, that would have ended that story line, because they would have, simply , been happy together.
She turned Leonards bedroom into HER bedroom and tried to change him. She was more like the mother Leonard never had than a good match as a couple. Not trying to be judgemental or aggresive, but the fact you choose her over Penny tells something about your personality, you should check that before choose a life partner.
I put the above comments up for fun, although my comments about 'Stephanie' (Sara Rue) stand. The psychology of personality is a very complex area of that particular science. Research repeatedly shows that humans are really poor at understanding another's personality. The fact that you have judged mine, based on such a snippet of evidence, is typical and incorrect.

Disagree. I never liked Stephanie, her character was only used to create confusion for the audience who wanted to see Penny and Leonard together.
And suddenly, Stephanie had disappeared and no actor spoke of her again. I guess the writers thought the character had done enough and they didn't know how to proceed.
But Leonard's still love Penny. Sometimes you can't help who you love
I cannot argue with that, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. (although, there's an awful lot of science on the subject of attraction now, such as the ability to detect another person's immune system through their pheromones!)
